Hello, My laptop was destroyed.....back ups were not the greatest..lets not go there...😡 I now have a WIN 10 Desktop and have installed HUCE. I can't figure out why the Scenario Editor will not open. I've looked throughout the forum and saw some mention of this happening in WIN7 but can't find an answer. Help please. Cheers

Hi, new HCE player here,trying to learn the sim slowly but surely and i have a question about formation rings. Can their display be turned off in the group window? They obscure the unit icons of themselves and surrounding units. I ask because I've seen them "turned off" in YouTube tutorials. Currently using latest patch (2015.027) with the latest beta (HC2018.002GESEDBDUBSSB and HC2020.003GESE) and latest DB (HCDB2-170909). Thanks

Thanks to the help of the Matrix/Slitherine Help Desk I managed to retrieve my account thingummy and reloaded my Harpoon ( "Larry Bond's HARPOON Ultimate Edition Build 2015.027"). So after a long hiatus I am, as they say, back in the in the game. I have been playing the EC2003 Battle, Wrath for the IOPG now for nearly a week; I think I am on the 5th or 6th attempt. I am struggling to understand what I have to do to win. I have to launch maximum effort strikes against terrorist bases (ZZa, ZYa ZXa) Destroy C31 system as a prime target (ZVb) suppress air defense activity around Bandar Abbas (Ztb, ZOb) My first problem is that there is no ZZa, only a ZZb. Even if I destroy all the bases (assuming ZZa is really ZZb) and am in the process of attacking Ztb and ZOb, the loss of 12 planes triggers the enemy minimum win conditions. Is this a Kobayashi Maru, no win situation?

I have notice the coming up on my message log more frequently making my message log basically useless. It seems to happen more often with larger scenarios. I would like to know what might cause this and how it may be disabled. It seems to happen whether or not I have the ignore no ship movement on or off in staff options. I am wondering if it may be a memory problem or running the scenario with a database more current then the one it was written with. I have looked for this in topic search but cannot find anything on it.

Harpoon Classic Since Update. My dad has been playing harpoon and noticed there was a problem in the beta update when he was playing, but bare in mind he is running this game in vista. In this picture there are some icons missing for the range and aircraft patrols for the formation editor. will there be a patch that can fix this problem? or would he have to go back to the earlier version before the patch? Perhaps I've tortured users well enough the last 12 years that Instant Action has been enabled by default. Is it time to flip that position and have it disabled by default? That would mean you get to select a BattleSet and scenario every time you fire up the game instead of being taking to a random scenario.

Hi guys, installing HUCE right now. After all the updates from the Matrix Games server, what should I update? There are various DB's here... a bit confused. I'd like to play the scenarios which come with HUCE. So there is one DB I shall download for an update? hi! i have been looking for an interesting Harpoon scenario set in the black sea region between Russia and Nato and the Porter scenario in the Harpoon Classic section caught my eye. I am though not sure what i need to do to play it. I have the Matrix edition Harpoon Ultimate edition that has HUCE, ANW, 3.6.3 AND 394 and i think i have it all updated to the most recent versions as per the patches on the matrix site. i am assuming i need to use HUCE for the Porter scenario but where do i put the files for it thank you regards

Hey everyone. I just bought Harpoon Ultimate Edition, and I'm loving it so far. A few questions: 1) How do I set waypoints for aircraft that involve orders? For example, move to waypoint 1, turn on radar, move to waypoint 2, etc. 2) I've also noticed that my E-3 AWACS have a huge lag time in responding to orders; I haven't noticed this with other aircraft. It can make for some dicey situations, especially in Keflavik scenarios. 3) How can I set patrol patterns for ASW aircraft? Right now, my ASW aircraft fly to a point, drop a sonobuoy, and then just sit there. How can I get them to drop multiple sonobuoys in a pattern (when they aren't actively orde…

I can't find all the ships in the GIUK tutorial. Any tips? I've tried it a hundred times following the instructions, and retracing steps at creep speed when unable to find ships.

Hi, I used to play Harpoon alot a long time ago. Like to try it again but before I buy it from Matrix I wanted to get a feeling for how well it works today and how stable it is. So I downloaded the demo, and it crashed. * Downloaded HCE Demo 2016.003 * Installed * Start, select GIUK, No mans land, Blue * Press Ctrl-B for order of battle * Click Airfield Aba * Game crashes I can't really think that this is normal, more likely something is wrong with my setup but I have no idea what would cause a crash like that in such a simple and repeatable way.
