Come January 1, 2018 it may no longer be possible to buy the game. If you've been waiting to buy a copy, I strongly suggest doing so by year end. For more than a year I've been attempting to arrange a situation where Harpoon Classic (HC) could be sold unbundled. That effort hasn't been successful and time is running out. Negotiations are ongoing but out of my hands at this point while the rights holders make their decision. That decision may not be made by year end which would mean no active publisher of the game and hence no way to buy the game. I have been playing HCE for years. Recently tried installing the new .dll file (first time changing those files). When I run HCE I am told I need to update/upgrade my GE. Any guidance?

Hi all, I've recently tried to install Harpoon Ultimate and after going through Matrix's recovery system, I was given the following file to download: Harpoon3UltimateANW-Update-v311-Beta.exe. After installation, I'm getting errors about several missing DLLs including Harpoon32.dll. The installation process and autorun programs aren't the same as I thought they were when I had the download originally. I've installed all patches from the Matrix site after v311 and have installed the HC2017.011GESEDBDUBSBB and HC2017.014GESEDU betas from here just in case. I have a question about the formation editor which I can't seem to find an answer to. On the basic Matrix version of Harpoon Commander's Edition there are the four zones in the formation editor which I understand how to use. What I don't understand are what the extra two zones are for in the version I've downloaded here at HarpGamer. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi guys, been playing the boxed Harpoon Ultimate Edition with all the latest updates installed for a while now and looking at playing some of the different scenarios found on here. I always play the Harpoon CE version from the game disk build 2015.027 I'm running Windows 10 and everything at the moment runs fine with no crashes. However, my laptop's DVD doesn't function anymore and I'm just a bit worried that by adding additional files I could make the game unstable and then I wont be able to re-install the game. Hi guys, new to the forum and a returner to Harpoon. I have a question regarding searching for subs, red or blue in the game. Is there a method of allocating a search aircraft to conduct a long range search for a sub where it will automatically move round an area and drop sonar buoys? At the moment I am using the formation editor for relatively close searches, and the plane drops buoys in the area allocated, but when i want to send an aircraft beyond the range of the formation editor the plane just moves to the point and stops. I have been manually setting search patterns and relying on MAD contacts, but it would be good to know if I have missed something and the…

Hello, I'd like to purchase the ultimate edition from the Matrix Games website and I have downloaded the latest beta HCEDemo-2016.003 from this forum to be sure that it will work with my Windows 10 laptop. Hi, Don't laugh. I still have the Harpoon Classic 97 game on CD Rom. I'm trying to install it on a Windows 7 PC. I've got the program installed and running, however it comes with the Scenario Editor, but no option during game installation or instructions for installing the wscenedt.exe file. Hey I've been playing more Harpoon again and I've been running into some troubles in my Win10 installation. Specifically I've noted crashes of the game in the following situations: F8 (split groups) F7 (join groups) Opening "Order of Battle" Are there any issues you are aware of? Could it be a problem of database compatibility when playing older games with a patched up version of Harpoon? I am using HUCE 2015.027. Would you recommend running the game in some kind of compatibility mode when operating in Win10? Thank you, Alex
