Ok, I'm slumming around the harpoon sites and come across the link to buy Harpoon 3 for Mac OS X intel and it's version 3.6.2. I realize it's only community supported but I can't find the community. Is this the right place to start one?

I have HUCE and installed just the final ANW (3.10 I believe). I installed the update, but when I click on Play, I just get a little error message saying "unknown exception."

Please use this thread to express your thoughts and condolences on the passing of a honoured member of our Harpoon community, Darren Buckley of Melbourne, Australia. I don't have much to say, other than it was quite evident to anyone (even if you did not know him beyond the Interwebz) that Darren had a passion for our game that went well beyond the ordinary. His work on the Harpoon Users Database (HUD) was just one example of that. His contributions here will be missed, for sure.

Good Morning, I have H3 ver. 3.9.4 and H3 ultimate ANW. I switch between games for no specific reason and I noticed they have different databases, and even different configuration launchers. H3 has the HUD3 1.3.21 while the ANW has HUD3 1.5.0 DB. I would like to update to the latest DB. Could anyone tell me what the most current DB is and how to update? I just started playing Harp again and although I can remember updating in the past, it was a lot of years ago and my memory just isn't what it used to be. Thanks in advance!

Greetings to all I'm an old Hapooner and I like wargames for a long time, also the Harpoon series, but never in depth. I am a fanatic of naval warfare (one of my first board games was Midway ). I came to this forum after seeing the video series for dummies by ughed and I had tu buy the Ultimate edition with the idea of reviving old battles and I´m sure I took another good time with him. Hi, I am a casual pc player (play once in two weeks or so) and have harpoon 3 v. 3.6.3 on my pc. I really enjoyed it. So, to contribute to further devlopment, I want to buy some newer version of harpoon. Do you think that buying ANW will be rational, since I am not sure if I will see some real improvements when I convert from 3.6.3 to ANW. Some even say that it would be one step backwards, because of the bugs. If that is the situation, I will purchase HCCE, but I am not sure if I want an operational naval game, instead of a tactical one. Any suggestions?

I was curious if anyone had thoughts about how to further promote ANW and the HUD-4 database? For example, does anyone have any recommendations of other sites where we could post our scenarios? I have no objection to posting my own in more than one place if it will increase the number of people who can enjoy them. However, most of the other Harpoon sites I know about do not look like they have been updated very recently. Is there anywhere else the HUD-4 itself should be posted? Thoughts? Ideas? Recommendations?

Which platforms do you really dislike coming up against in this game? For me: * Tu-22M "Backfire". They are scary aircraft.

Only excuse is I've got a 250 scenario rebuild project underway as well as maintaining a website and trying to hunt bugs and build new scens if I have time. Greetings All, I just wanted to make everyone aware of an issue that may arise when creating new Battlesets for ANW. The Battleset name field is restricted to 25 character spaces. Exceeding this limit will cause both a corrupted display in the Scenario editor and a crash/freeze when attempting to make use of the editor's Batch Rebuild feature. I've attached a screenshot that, displays the Battleset name field in the BattlesetCreator.exe notated to illustrate the issue.
