Hello, I copied the Melbourne to create the Bonaventure for Canada. I did not make any adjustments that I remember other than the country and the names. Attached pic of error for review. Thanks, Dale

Mobile intermediate-range ballistic missile developed by North Korea. The Hwasong-12 was first revealed to the international community in a military parade on 14 April 2017 celebrating the Day of the Sun which is the birthday anniversary of North Korea's founding President, Kim Il-sung. North Korea tested Hwasong-12 on 30 January 2022. Initial estimates suggest the Hwasong-12 would have a maximum range of between 3,700 km (2,300 mi) with a 650 kg (1,430 lb) payload. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hwasong-12 View full record

Reading this very interesting USNI article, I was thinking in something similar to this for a new damage point calculation based in the named "Navy’s Survivability Instruction 9070.1A are taken into account in designing U.S. Navy surface ships to three survivability standards", affecting mostly auxiliary and low-value ships (analogy can be applied to other navies/ships), as for me many civilian/merchant ships (also in other time periods) receive too many damage/hit points: Level 3: CVN, CG, DDG (and decommisioned BB, CV, CVN, CG/CGN, DD/DDG, FF/FFG?). I think this Level 3 can keep 100% hit points derived from her standard displacement, as usual (previously to constru…

I can almost buy the Rafale being so stealthy that an E2-C can't see it until it's under 100 miles away but I fire 16 AIM-54 at two of them and they ALL miss? and what kills them? a pair of last second Sparrows?

The Mark 54 was co-developed by Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems and the U.S. Navy under the U.S. Navy's Lightweight Hybrid Torpedo program in response to perceived problems with the extant Mark 50 and Mark 46 torpedoes. The Mk 50, having been developed to counter very high performance nuclear submarines such as the Soviet Alfa class, was seen as too expensive to use against relatively slow conventional submarines. The older Mk 46, designed for open-ocean use, performed poorly in the littoral areas, where the Navy envisioned itself likely to operate in the future. The Mk 54 was created by combining the homing portion of the Mk 50 and the warhead and propulsion sec…

Brad, Thanks. Nice additions. Just came up with a few ideas for the next version... * SSN 23 Jimmy Carter (after modifications for carrying special ops teams, etc.; see HazeGray for details) * Variant Israeli Dolphin submarine...there are rumors she can carry nuclear-tipped land attack cruise missiles. Why not include a version that does? * Carrier-capable version of the A-4M Skyhawk * My copy of Jane's ('91-'92) says the Super Etendard (France) was capable of carrying nuclear bombs AND the French nuclear standoff missile (separate loadouts) and could also carry Magic AA missiles; might be interesting to the give the French a carrier-based nuclear…

I have a question regarding to 'upgrade of the graphics database EC2003 in my copy of HCE. I'm inserting images that are "missing" in the directory "HCE \ commondb \ rsr" with the PIC on their ID in the database "pfData2005.mdb" with the procedures " PIC ID = (resxxxx.bmp -154) " , once finished (and exported database) to save the job done for a subsequent installation is sufficient save only the directory "HCE \ commondb \ rsr" and the database file "pfData2005.mdb" ? or are needed also commondb.res and commondb.rsr from the game root directory HCE. Thank you and I apologize for my bad English.

I have a few platforms I've constructed from scratch based on information I have been able to gather, the most complex one being the USS Midway. Whenever a DB update comes out and I install it, my platforms go away and I need to redo them from scratch. Is there some easier, less time consuming way to do this? Thanx;

I'm writing a scenario with the database that came with the game and I discovered that the Flight II Burkes could not carry Helos. Since I've actually been aboard the Farragut, I can attest to the fact that it has two helo hangars Starting with the Mahan they all have helo hangars. Byron

Aim-7Ms acting like Aim-120s: From an F-15 I fired Aim-7Ms at a group of bombers. The program asked me to turn on the radar as the missile is semi-active radar homing. I did that and then turned the radar off. The missiles proceeded to miss the bombers, then they corrected and acted like Aim-120s with self-guidance and destroyed the bombers. This also happened in another game where I shot down all the opposing F-15s after they fired their Aim-7Ms. The Aim-7s did not disengage but continued to track to their targets (much to my surprise). In the database the Aim-7M is flagged as radar guided and semi-active guided. Could it be that it should only have the se…

Hi, I've newly bought HCE, having previously owned HC97, so the Platform Editor is new to me (I'm also not really familiar with Microsoft Access so this may be a simple problem). I have opened the pfbuild2005 file and created several new installations. I exported the database and opened the scenario editor (with PE now closed). However, only one of my new airbases was visible in the 'create new base' menu. I'm not sure why this is. I deleted my new ones and started again, with a similar result (but this time only two new bases visible). Any ideas? All help is appreciated, thanks.

For those who may have been wondering, there should be a new version of the HCDB available within the week. I have been doing the summer/holiday thing lately, as most of the Harpoon community does this time of year, but its time to put out another release. Other than some units we will be needing for the CPX, and some specific units I am interested in adding myself, such as the planned British CVF aircraft carrier, I am open to your requests. As usual. About the County class destroyers and the Sea Slug missile, my results about the ships missile-carrying capacity, after a long afternoon of research motivated by the contradictory data about the topic: Originally envisaged to carry 18 or 20 missiles, but magazine enlarged before the ship building. The ships were equipped with: Sea Slug load=24 on the first THREE ships, of them 8 ready to fire (unknown missile-readying time). Sea Slug load=39 on the later FIVE ships, of them 6 ready to fire (unknown missile-readying time). 30 seconds time cycle for two missile salvoes obtained of the 8/6 missiles in the ready to use compartment, beyond the magazine and …
