I have been thinking about trying this idea for a long time but dont thhink this area of the globe is covered. It's based on a movie that came out, i think, in the 70's. i want to say it's called the final countdown. anyway. a US Carrier, the Nimitz, sets out from Hawaii on a cruise and encounters a freak storm that sends them back in time to just before the attack on Pearl Harbor. the commander is faced with the huge decision. Should he try to stop the attack or not. thus the scenario. could a single carrier airwing stop the armada by either completely destroyying it or at least stop from launching an attack. according to the movie there are 6 carriers and up to 23 …

I'm toying around in the 1.0 Vengeance found in the Mediterranean Battleset. I am maneuvering the CVBG back out of the Adriatic Sea and have both a CAP and an AEW + CAP up. The AEW aircraft detected a DDG Suffren in the Libyan port of Tubruk, which I investigate, outside of game, to find out it is a French built AAW destroyer. I believe that the French have had an on again off again love affair with Libya - is this ship considered hostile Libyan Navy, hostile French Navy, or friendly French Navy? Enjoying HCE...again.

The beginning of a series of scenarios examining an EU+Russia vs. US conflict in the near future. Battleset: GIUK, .scm - EC2003 Scenario can be played by both sides, should be more fun and tricky however if you play blue. Have fun, comments always welcome

I was re-introduced to this scenario by a bug report. It took roughly five minutes to re-create the bug from the provided save game. It took another 3 hours for me to stop playing the stupid thing! That was the first time in a number of months I'd spent any real time playing HC for non coding purposes. So with Labor Day Weekend on the schedule I thought I might find opportunity to take the scenario for a spin from the start. The bug report that started it all: http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=2228326 Find the scenario at: http://harpgamer.com/harpforum/index.php?a...mp;showfile=361 So this is my kind of scenario, lots of action, not all that mu…

The skirmish along the Russian-Ukrainian border in early 2022 served as reminder that the pandemic was not the only concern. The European Union, exiting the pandemic more divided than ever before, was too weak to keep its cohesion, losing Finland and Sweden in 2023 and Romania in 2024. Norway, Sweden and Finland formed the Northern Block in late 2022, while Romania aligned itself with the Russian-friendly Ukrainian government.
