  1. has anyone else gotten an error when trying to run the SE when using this scenario. it runs in the game but when i try to load it in the editor i get an Annex error and it terminates the program.
  2. made a custom map with battleset editor. got it to load in the scenario editor but when i try to run the scen to test it i comeback with a memory could not be written winharp32.exe error
  3. Cool hack You know, you could add a few conversion routines to the core of GE and appropriate flags stored in the BS through the BSB to do linear transformations on the existing "GPS" routines, a simple 2d matrix simplified and even optimized for your few special cases, allowing the user to bring a normal world map and have BSB rotate it as well as flag it appropriately so the GE knows how to position icons on it If you see a way I can help, I'd be glad to (maths, whatever) from the thumbnail it doesnt look like it includes the Japanese mainland which is an important component in the scenario. hate to ask Tony but could you make another that includes that area. second question what do i dod with it after i unzip it. what files do i replace and where would they go. Thanks in advance. Ken
  4. ok lat is 47.9243 lon is 139.619 lat 14.853 lon is-134.630
  5. trying to make a battleset map from Japan to just east of Hawaii and it tells me it is illegal lat and lon. the only thing i can firure out is it crosses zero degrees lon. is there anyway around that. the scenario that i am working on involves japan and the Hawaiian Islands
  6. I don't think the HCWW will put him any further ahead right now. My initial focus was almost entirely on submarines and a few capital ships. I haven't moved into Pacific theater units much at all. no it was the nimitz by itself. just tried it with modern units and killed the 6 carriers in just under a day. with a three day time limit. noticed on wikipedia there were 4 jap sub s in the area of Pearl at the time and the armada didn't take a direct route to Pearl. trying to make it harder. this the list of ships i used. Clemencaeu -2 ADS Project Cochin Kuznetsov Varyag queen elizabeth -2 Munich hobart -3 Jianghu-V-6 Hangzhou-4 Luyang-1 Luyang II-2 Luzhou-2 Taizhou-2 plus 3 Collins class subs i just added
  7. That would be part of Step 2 below. is there a way to set up an airstrike when the battle group is in range of a target instead of just setting it for a certain time
  8. That would be part of Step 2 below. ok i am using Access 2003. tried opening the database and got to the menu. th problem is i have no idea what to change... please help somebody
  9. ok i have a battleset map for the area but there are no that are listed that are in the area. why is there no NAS Pearl Harbor?
  10. how many different databases are there and can you switch from one to the other? what are the main differences. in a nutshell... because this may open a big can of worms
  11. I have been thinking about trying this idea for a long time but dont thhink this area of the globe is covered. It's based on a movie that came out, i think, in the 70's. i want to say it's called the final countdown. anyway. a US Carrier, the Nimitz, sets out from Hawaii on a cruise and encounters a freak storm that sends them back in time to just before the attack on Pearl Harbor. the commander is faced with the huge decision. Should he try to stop the attack or not. thus the scenario. could a single carrier airwing stop the armada by either completely destroyying it or at least stop from launching an attack. according to the movie there are 6 carriers and up to 23 escort ships for a total of 353 planes. didnt see Hawaii in the West Pac battleset. but i suppose it could be done with any island any where. the othe rproblem would be finding th roight mix of weapons for the Japs............... any ideas?
  12. just opened the file for this scenario. the word WOW comes to mind first
  13. so i would say based on that it might be a good idea to have a separate scenario folder for each battleset. is this possible? also on a separate note i noticed that the F-14 tomcat phoenix missle has been decreased range from what i remember 60nm as opposed to 110nm when was this changed. it doesn't give the Tomcat the advantage it used to have.
  14. tried it twice and does the same thing. i tried you and me against the world and it does the same thing too. on the other hand i have d/l and played a number of others that work too so go figure
  15. i must have done something wrong unzipping them or something. kind of a rookie at using it i'm afraid. i may just d/l them again and try it again. ok ithink i know why it looks like the folders, when i go to open the folder to play it i only have the optiion to open one type of file name estension and it's the wrong one. dont know how to change it. there r no other options in the drop down menu
