Was on a nice cruise (the leisure vacation kind) coming back to new york from Bermuda on Saturday when I see this pretty thing bouncing around in 50knt winds (luckily swells were pretty low but saw waves go over her bow a few times.) wondering if anybody knows who she might be.

I'm always amazed how little changes in the world of Harpoon. Most of us still want that dream version of Harpoon we wanted long long ago and feel scarcely closer to that goal. On the HC side part of it is surely that for the most part players are happy with what they have. It isn't perfect by any measure but it provides the enjoyment players are looking for and in a quantity that dilutes their chances of demanding and creating that dream Harpoon. Only eleven days to go until Will and Kate get married. This is actually going to do interesting things to the British economy. You see, this Friday is Good Friday, which is a Bank holiday. Monday 25 April is also a Bank Holiday (Easter Monday always is). You've then got another holiday on the day of the wedding itself, followed by the May Day bank holiday on Monday 2 May. Following that, we have local elections in much of the country and a referendum on changing the voting system in all of it on Thursday 5 May, which means a lot of schools will be closed as they're being used as polling stations... What are the views of our non-British posters on this?

I'm currently watching a series on Military History about the Perisher Course. You know, the RN submarine command one. Very interesting - it's the first time cameras have been allowed in 30 years. There's been a couple of sub-on-sub battles, including Triumph (the sub they're using) vs. Ula and Triumph vs. Turbulent.

So those few of you who visit us on IRC noticed the absence of the IRC server from mid-day Friday through Saturday mid-afternoon. That was planned as the server was moving physically a few blocks to a new location. I met Comcast at the new location on Saturday. There was an existing Comcast business cable Internet connection there and we managed to get my signal on that line (I was pretty amazed that went off without so much as a hiccup). Life was good until today when when someone else from Comcast showed up (I was not there this time) and promptly disconnected the line outside (at the pole or the lockbox I do not know, nor does it matter).
