Is there any interest in adding a Harpoon fiction section to the forums? Either expanded play examples or straight out fiction?

Let me run this one by here and see if anyone has ideas. I have a network that is acting strangely. 1 station on the network is functioning fine, the rest not at all. Can't even get an IP assigned to them. It is DCHP type, so it should automatically assign the IPs to the stations. I've ruled out the main hub, as the working station is tied into that one. I've taken off solo stations and gone directly to the source (DSL) and still can't get an IP assigned. Naturally I've done the usual fixes, modem reboots etc. with no change in results. Anyone have any ideas on where to start looking for the problem?

So who has read Larry's new novel? I went looking for it at a local book store and it wasn't on the shelves. I'll try the Chapters chain another day.

Starting off the thread with SpongeBob is regretable but here goes... The SpongeBob boat was inspired by Kim who used to play on one of the same hockey teams as I did a few years ago and who now and again thrashes me at Blades of Steel. So when I saw the toy on sale at K-Mart I grabbed it and knew what to do, try to make it run. It was a good fight throwing everything together, I used a couple of old servos, unsoldered the motors, stuck them in the drive tubes. Today I checked the TF2 trailer on Youtube. It would seem that the SAM firing routines of the US Navy are bugged http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gb2fUOW1ne4&feature=fvst (look at 0:27 - 0:50) Best portrayal ever of a CVN hit by Russian missiles anyway (even if here they are evil Transformers).

Just wanted to say hello as I am new here (is this the right place to do so?). I do not actively play harpoon myself (I am a land war gamer) but follow all things military rather casually, and naval warfare is one of them. I've seen an item or two today on the news about Gary Sinise going to the ME to entertain the troops. The man strikes me as the second coming of Bob Hope in this regard. In an age where celebrities like Charlize Theron, Johnny Depp, and others can only seem to find time to bad-mouth our president and the troops he commands, I find this a refreshing change. Hi, I was trying to find any scenarios I could play for HCE involving the CV 41 USS Midway. I found it in the platform display, but have not been able to locate any scenarios for it. I toured the ship in San Diego last week and really enjoyed seeing a carrier and all the aircraft up close. The people doing the demos for take offs and landings are outstanding. Really get a good feel for how complicated and dangerous carrier oppertations are. Anyway, if anybody remembers playing any scenarios involving Midway let me know. Steve
