In HCDB 081124, the noted entry for the Chinese sub tender has text referring to the Belgian FF Weilingen class.

  2. I posted lastnight with some general db questions and asking how to create battlesets for HCCE. I was trying to find out how to place a unit in a battleset if it wasnt in that battleset originally. I notice this morning that my posting lastnight has been deleted. Any help appreciated

I notice that both the RQ-4A Global Hawk Block 10 and the RQ-4B Global Hawk Block 20 seem to have exactly the same range listed in the "weapons" display, even though the Block 20 is supposed to have rather greater range, and claims to have 14,000 nm range (vs 12,500 for the Block 10) on the "Unit Display" popup. Is this proper?

Here is a little xls sheet (office 97/2003) created to help loadout designers by converting real life datas into multipliers directly applicable to loadouts. All instructions incorporated. the file is free of know viruses. http://ibelgique.ifrance.com/jansfiles/har...liers_table.zip (3,758 Ko)

In HCDB 080406, I note that the RF-5S Tigereye from Singapore seems to have the loadouts for an attack aircraft, rather than a recon bird. As I was hoping to use it as a stand-in for South Korea's RF-5, which is not in the DB, in a Second Korean War scenario, I was wondering if it might be given a recon loadout, as well or instead? Thank ye ...

I've noticed that in the latest version of the HCDB, weapons based on the Mk 82 do more damage, and those based on the Mk 84 do significantly less, than in previous versions. I presume that this is based on a paper rules update, but what was the rationale? 'Enquiring minds want to know!'

When I attempt to enter the ID number for a weapon in the PE, I get the following error message: The error does not seem to have an immediate effect, but when the database is exported, aircraft will use the wrong weapons (but the correct number of those weapons). The loadouts appear fine in the PE, and this error appears both when editing an existing database or creating one from the blank database. Also, when an existing weapon from an existing database is edited, it will stop appearing. For example, editing the AIM-9X (ID 18490) in the HCDB will cause loadouts that previously used it to use the AIM-9L (ID 18489) instead. Does anyone know why this is occuring and how…

Brad, I believe that you indicated that most of the new units are now derived from H4.1 paper rules. I hope that this is somewhat the case for the ground units as I would like to request the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps Brigade found on page 37 of Dave Schuler's Harpoon Naval Review 2003. Do you have access to these stats? Can you work with Adjusted Unit Ground Combat Strengths (GCS)? I can list them here if need be and hopefully you can meld them into something workable in the near future. Please let me know. Forever I shall remain, the banned one, Pete

I set up two new bases in the PE for HCE. EC2003 MED battleset. Both are "RED" Syrian airfields Both are inputted copies of airfields I did in 2002db (where they worked). Longitude and Latitude worked in 2002 version which uses the same map as the HCE version (I assume). Both id #s are in numerical sequence. ID: 53248 and 53249. Prior installation was 53247. The DB was exported as usual. Both DO NOT show up in the Scenario Editor. I've removed and re-entered the bases with the same result. They are logged into the PE but not the SE ?????? Thanks, Steve M

I was experimenting in the Scenario Editor. Trying to set up airbases and assets to resemble the current situation with Libya and the no-fly zone. Could not find any Canadian F-18 to load. Is this missing from the current standard HCDB? And as an alternative, which version of an F-18 would most resemble the CF-18 ?

I have a question about the dfferent databases. Are they all compatible with HCBB that comes with the game? I installed the latest HC65to95 and it removed most of the more modern platforms. Is there a way around this? Thanks -Tanthier

Here are the modifications i applied to "my" DB (in fact, HCDB-050124 on my HDD). I verified sources, at least, twice, most figures comes from Jane's publications, H4 or real life professionnams working with this plane. U can see the loadouts i designed for my own usage here, feel free to use it They are based from real life rafale's validation videos, pilots indications and Jane's publications. I used the rule i exposed on this forum (loadout multipliers) to match as close as possible the effects on range and DATA that specific loadouts can have. http://ibelgique.ifrance.com/jansfiles/har..._C_loadouts.htm http://ibelgique.ifrance.com/jansfiles/har.…

For those who are using public beta versions, important note for when you upgrade your game engine! BEFORE you upgrade, note the location of the commondb.res file that you are using. This is especially important if you use the databases from harpgamer or one of your own custom databases. After you install the upgrade, start the game engine and click on the Battlesets button. Re-map the path back to the commondb.res. It should be in the same directory as your game engine. It's a little quirk that is still in the installer system.

Hello, there are several loadouts named the same. Several ATA, unguided, guided, etc. How can I change in the platform editor the names of these loadouts? To get ATA, ATA-2, ATA-3...? Is these loadouts related with the AI? I thought to rename some ATA into Interceptor-4, Interceptor-5...?
