May 12, 200917 yr When I attempt to enter the ID number for a weapon in the PE, I get the following error message: The error does not seem to have an immediate effect, but when the database is exported, aircraft will use the wrong weapons (but the correct number of those weapons). The loadouts appear fine in the PE, and this error appears both when editing an existing database or creating one from the blank database. Also, when an existing weapon from an existing database is edited, it will stop appearing. For example, editing the AIM-9X (ID 18490) in the HCDB will cause loadouts that previously used it to use the AIM-9L (ID 18489) instead. Does anyone know why this is occuring and how to fix it?
May 12, 200917 yr First things first, you should only under the most dire of circumstances enter an ID manually. Let the PE assign one for you. Everything is misaligned in the DB as a result of you editing them manually, there can't be gaps in IDs within each annex.

When I let the PE assign an ID for weapons, it always assigns 18432, which is a duplicate index (all IDs for aircraft, loadouts, etc. are assigned by the PE). The error also appears when editing weapons in an existing database without changing the ID (see the AIM-9X example in the OP).

I'm going to guess that you have already been entering ID numbers for awhile now, and that by now, your DB is royally screwed.
