After Action Report: Colombian Hat Dance A scenario by Mark Gellis 'Colombian Hat Dance' is a new HCE scenario for the new custom 'Caribbean Sea' Battleset. I played the scenario using beta 2008.050. My Mexican Navy (Armada de Mexico) task force was ordered to locate and destroy the terrorist base believed to be situate about 60 miles southwest of Juanchaco. hi all i'm seeking advice on how to do a particular scenario. the scenario i want to do is replicate (to a point) the movie Firefox, with Clint Eastwood. You, a secret agent have to steal the latest Russian superplane. I'm using the GIUK map, and have put in nearly all Russian, Czech, Romanian and Polish airfields. I've also put in 2 blue airfields, one in south-east Romania, and one in Greenland. The mission will be to get the superplane from Romania to Greenland without being destroyed (roughly 2500nm). Between you and Greenland will be the entire defence force of those countries. My problem is on the selection of the aircraft. I originally …

I 've just built a Gulf of Tonkin BS using the BS Builder, and now I'm trying my hand at designing some scenarios to go with it. I have to fess up that scenario construction has never been one of my greater skills. What I would like to do is place some structures ashore, defend them with SAM Sites, land based interceptors, etc, and then attempt to attack and destroy the structures with a CV Air Strike. The problem I have is that structures, SAM sites, etc. do not appear in the initial loading of the scenario, and must be detected by other means. Since launching a strike against structures like this presupposes the location of the target is permanent and known and …

I know that some, perhaps many, of you HCE players out there must have played with the Scenario Editor and perhaps built scenarios of your own. I'll get to the point: why aren't you sharing them? Scenarios are the lifeblood of this game, folks. Without scenarios to play, enjoy and share, we're toiling away at improving this game for what? If you're worried about 'quality', please don't be. There's no one around here that is going to wag their finger and say your scenario doesn't meet their own self-conceived standards. I am creating a new scenario for the Caribbean. To make the scenario really work I need to provide some intel to each side at a point several days into the events. Is their any way to have the staff come in and announce anything? Seems like if the ability to launchg a strike or recon asset at some time point exists, maybe the ability to provide intel at a time point would be easy also? RAS
