  1. Ok There´s a new version of this DB Thanks to Donald who kicked my axx to restart working on HCE dbs.... The last 6 Months were the most exhausting, troublesome i ever expiereced... So thans for the help... I´ve added some and reworked some more of the australian Units
  2. If not, all i need is a list of needed Units. Looks like i can get back into HCE soon.... found a new employee so the workload on my person will return to a normal level... No longer 1 man doing the work of 3....
  3. 1024x768 @ 32bit
  4. That's very telling. We may have a code issue here. Try and get a savegame if possible. Didn´t notice such a Problem while creating the basic models for my HC-35to50-DB, so one of the newer changes in code might cause the trouble? I´ve created the Guns as Gun Payload..... But i didn´t check anything the last months due to too much work ....
  5. the german 28cm gun has a range of 19,4nm... vs 20,89 for the US 40cm... the db uses 18 vs 20,9 the 19,4 nm range would shorten the time for US counter fire.... depending on the gunnery model this makes a huge difference
  6. Done.... BTW i had them in the 80to95db.... Regars René
  7. As for the data. Janes, Weyer, H4 Papers, Websearch... For the time frame... You can go my way by creating more than one entry per unit, cause guik is a rather small area, so the number of ships and planes is nothing you need to worry about. About the basic data. I suggest you use Brads offer and take weapon/senor data from his DBs, but you may do the same with my data. (Also the Installation annex!) About the Installtions, there´s no need to create one entry per side. Each entry in the Installtions annex can be used by both sides. regards René btw my hc-euro-db was also focused on guik and med
  8. as written in the other post it depends on the load and the type of propulsion. an example from smaller Diesel Engines. Rated for pleasure Duty a 7liter Volvo might have around 400HP and may use 100% Power for 1h out of 20 running hours. Rated for heavy Duty the same engine will have only 250-300HP and may rund at 100% continous. I can see what datasheets are avaible in english and post it here... I read/unterstand Flank as more than 100% Power of the rating for continiuos running. So it will be limited to 5 to 10% of the running time. Maybee less (overheating for nuke propulsion for example). In War time you can and will go closer or over the limit, but break downs will be come more and more likely. IRC correctly i once saw a report about a Burke DDG on discovery and they talked about running at Flank for 1-2 h during the trial runs performed during the delivery tests by the shipyard.
  9. Ammo is the same as the Model F, BTW: http://navweaps.com/Weapons/WNSpain_47-45_mkf.htm Thanks again.... all made it inot the latest version of this db

  11. File Name: South Africa with included DB File Submitter: divefreak File Submitted: 8 Mar 2009 File Category: BattleSets DB Used: included HC-80to95-DB Authors: Ralf Koelbach, René Haar South Africa A Battleset for Harpoon Classic Commander´s Edition Written by Réne Haar and Ralf Koelbach It is 1988. South Africa is still governed by President Botha, who symbolizes the Apartheid-Regime. The country is shaken by riots and the state of emergency is declared. South Africa´s neighbours are waiting for a chance to overthrow the Apartheid-Regime in Pretoria. Meanwhile the Glasnost Era between the US and the USSR ends abruptly: few days after the Moscow Summit in May/June, Gorbachev is ousted by a Communist Coup. All hopes for an end of the Cold War have gone to pieces within hours. The new strong man is Secretary Ligatschow. He vows to reestablish "law and order" and to strengthen Communism all over the world. The US Government led by President Reagan is caught by surprise. US forces have to be quickly repositioned and prepared for what may come. But where will the USSR start to reestablish its tight grip? The Politburo chooses South Africa. Large parts of the Red Fleet are already in this area. South Africa is an outlaw in the Western World because of its Apartheid Regime. Its strategical importance is obvious. Its neighbours will support any attack on the Regime. Thus the Soviets draw their plan. By chance there is one US Carrier Battlegroup in the area. And so an epic battle starts.
