- Chg:0000 GE Fixed game crash in certain circumstances when some planes out

of a group are shot down, but not the whole group. (thanks Brad)

see attached file, if the bug still exists the save will crash after about 2 game seconds (assuming a Bear-D gets shot down). If the Bear-D is shot down and no crash then the bug is fixed.

bear4.zip

Bear shot down, no crash here.

A little comment on the last builds.....

In some builds one can choose a target from the targetlist or click in on the map to allocate it...

In some builds like 9.014 you can´t chose a target from the map, you need to chose it from the target list....

I don't know about this.

If you run the "Bear4" save and click Blue BBA for an Attack, you can click any of the 4 helos around Red ZVS. The selected helo is then jumped to on the Select Group list.

Rene is correct. I saw this in 2009.014 last nite. It is not happening consistently, though. I could choose some targets from the map, others I could not.

What I mean by that, start a new topic, when you have enough evidence then create an issue report (since it appears there is little evidence as yet)

In the interest of confusing the issue further, I had no trouble assigning aircraft to targets using either method. Selecting any of my AAW capable air groups and selecting attack brings up the normal list box, and clicking on the map highlights tha appropriate enemy unit in the box and brings up the attack dialog.

I hope it stays this way as sorting out the furball and then having to use the list can be a real hassle. More realistic in my opinion as well. As SWC on the Midway, I always assigned intercepts using the symbology on the PPI and sending the order to the interceptor via the AIC all by VAB action. The other way seems like having to talk to the controller and do it all by track number, a time consuming and cumbersome way of doing things.
