Typical IRB (inflatble Rescue Boats) as used all around the world for surf rescue. 3.5 to 4 long with 20 to 40 HP Outboard Engine. in Germany we mainly use the 3.5 and seldom the 3.9m from DSB (also building military/comercial ribs) with aluminum Hull, most commen engine ist the 25HP Tohatsu, sometimes the 30HP version. Non RIB types are very scare compared to Australia, US Beaches and the UK

- Database Design and the HCE Launcher
As far as i remember, the launcher will replace the current launching screen as a start point. Like the H3 launcher. First you start the launcher, then select to start the game with some personal settings like db etc.... I see your point about the larger dl file. And your point about the bs/scen containing data about the used db, sounds like the signatur feature of h3/ANW. BTW 43 veiws on the topic and only 1 answer.... is no one interested in better db hndling?- Database Design and the HCE Launcher
Hi Thanks to the HCE launcher it becomes more and more easy to switch between differnet DBs What i have tested so far is that with the launcher the commonddb files need no longer to be in the HCE Mainfolder and we can edit the name of the files. so my idea and proposal is that we db-designers, those who publish databases regulary, provide them in a zip container, containing a folder named "databases" containing the db file named like hcdb_20100506.res, oder HC-50to65-DB_20100427.res, etc... + the "normal" commondb.res file outside the folder for those not using the launcher... Maybee at a later point we can distribute the db files as an installer file? So the dbs gets automatically into the hce folder!? the wish behind it, the player gets a folder with a db collection where he easly switches between the dbs with the HCE Launcher- HC Launcher Brainstorming
the last changes look great. Good work....! I´ll start a new discussion/proposal in the database and discussion area about how we can take the most effort out of the new capabilitys.....- File - HC-50to65-DB

Hi this is an attempt to create a db for the old times when missiles were not the most important weapon.... The last changes to HCE make this possible.... It is a derivate/follow on of the merged Euro and Atlantic DB, therefore it is covering 90% of the world´s navys It is still at a Beta Stage, so you can expect errors, faults and changes.... So all scen designers are welcome to create scens for this db. Fixed some crashes with faulty Loadouts and mounts.... A little comment on the naming convention for all entries an (x) before the name marks hypothetical entries that never became operational. the timetag after the name indicates the ioc date for a unit... (1964) unit enterd service in 1964 (1970-80) unit /version for 1970 to 80 (-1970) unit retired in 1970 those dates are only a hint/help for scen designers not a fixed "law" Special Thanks to Gordon Rottman for providing help and data about the Korean Navys during the Korean War Licens: Copyright @ 2010 René Haar/Enrique Mas Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 Germany Attribution — You must attribute the work in the manner specified by the author or licensor (but not in any way that suggests that they endorse you or your use of the work). HC-Weapons&Sensors-DB The HC-Weapons&Sensors-DB is not a working db containing all kinds of units. It is a collection of nearly 2100 Weapon and more than 1000 Sensor datasets and several 100s sample mounts covering more than 75 Years of naval weapon development. It is dedicated to all DB Designers looking for specific weapon data or those who want to start their own db without doing the basic research for each weapon. As Usual a (x) in Front of an entry represents a system that was planned an did not enter active Service or a completly fictional System... Examples: Polyphem SAM/SSM Sea lance .... ... Yes, they did tend to go 'all out', leaving the carrier and task force relatively undefended while conducting their own strike. They needed the fighter escort to survive the enemy CAP, so sending out around 50% of the fighters made sense and btw some Taskgroups had CVL or CVE attached with fighter onyl wings for CAP..... freeing even more Fighter from the CV for escort duty.- File - HC Launcher
A little wish.... Is it possible to preset the file type in the dialog for choosing the db files? so that only files with the extension .res or .rsr are shown? Or some Kind of dropdown field with the matching file extensions in the hce folder? Would make the selection progress much easier... wich leads to a second wish: the user/db designer should get a possiblity to change names for the commondb files during export of the db....- air group composition WW2 shipping attacks
Antiship groups were normally composed of torpedo and dive bombers. With additional aircover by fighter planes.... - Database Design and the HCE Launcher
