August 24, 200916 yr I'm probably going to regret this, but... Is there a way of creating a scenario-specific database in the EC2003 battleset? Here's the short version. There's a HDSIII IOPG user scenario called "Sea Orbit '65" involving the CVN Enterprise's nuclear task force back in the 60's. Because of the limitations of this battleset, there are no carrier-based F4s or A4s available, nor is the SSN Triton. What I would like to do is create a 1965 database of the appropriatly armed USN ships and aircraft, and some slightly over-the-top units belonging to SMERSH or SPECTRE or even Dr. Evil's minions. The end result would be a small database of maybe couple dozen ships, subs and aircraft for both sides in this scenario, instead of modifying or adding to the existing universal EC2003 file. All thoughts and comments are welcome. Larry Gertner wombat1417 P.S. The aforementioned "Sea Orbit '65" is appended. Sea_Orbit__65.zip
August 24, 200916 yr You can certainly start from a blank database. Another option would be to talk to Brad about the HCUS database that underlies the revamped USNI battleset in the HC demo. It is much smaller than HCDB and may be an excellent basis for what you want to do. Perhaps he'll chime in here as well.

August 26, 200916 yr I don't have Microsoft Office on this machine, so this isn't going to work. Sorry I can't help but I like the idea of a small specific database for a scenario (especially something a little out of ordinary). Would be nice if we could copy between databases (without needing other programs and knowhow of using them) Hope someone comes up with the answer. Don Thomas
August 28, 200916 yr Are the platforms you need found in Rene's HC65to80 database? If not, all i need is a list of needed Units. Looks like i can get back into HCE soon.... found a new employee so the workload on my person will return to a normal level... No longer 1 man doing the work of 3....
