Database Design & Discussion

It seems that these answers are pretty well know by many people, so can someone tell me what are the range of ESM, RWR, FLIR, IRST and TCS codes that can be seen in the Aicraft Annex, under the "Flags" field. Thx by advance.

As consequence of some post interchanged with Brad the other day, I've make a chart about the plane carrying capacity of a great number of Aircraft Carriers and other plane-capable ships. First, some comments about it and the numerical values in the attached file. Basically, as commented a few days ago, I've detected some incongruence in HCE/HUCE Databases, I think now the problem comes from the paper rules and from his application to Computer Harpoon and his DBs. I didn't dig too deeply into it but I couldn't load Australian Seahawks or Seasprites onto the ANZAC or OHP frigates. Is the size set too large?

I would like the X-47B be added to the Database. Ithink it is about time the navy had its own UCAV. Thanks -Tanthier

After 25+ years at last this dawn casually understood the presence and significance of sensor 43410, AS/SS capable but with a range of only 0.1 nm, and present in Western and Eastern air defense systems!!! it must be simply an "Anti Radar Missile - Decoy", very good idea but for years very intriguing for me!

In the last version of the HCDB I see some AS radars, as they of Su-15 and CF-101B are labeled as RO radars and not as AS radars, and both with a reasonable high range. Is a mishap, or the label RO is not "Range Only" radar ?

In HCDB 081124, the noted entry for the Chinese sub tender has text referring to the Belgian FF Weilingen class.

What is the difference between ATA and DATA entries?

I was prowling through the HCDB 080406 sensor annex today, and discovered that the APQ-181 radar in the B-2 is shown with a detection probability of only 20%. Is that correct, and if so, why? Thx ...

I'm hoping user error, but haven't found it yet so I thought I'd ask if anyone else is having PE export problems resulting in bad allocation of countries to platforms and some platforms having no country. For database purposes, is there any differences in using a Block10/20 Global Hawk versus a separate BAMS entry? From what I can tell, it's a navalized G-Hawk, but no distinct differences jump out at me. I have an HoA scenario almost 90% done, but just wanted to eke out as much authenticity as possible. Thanks

I have posted a 'blank' database to HarpGamer DB Share area. The database has a bare minimum of sample platforms, weapons, and such to make the platform editor, scenario editor, and game engine happy to use the file. As it is a blank database, the battleset scenarios that come with HC will not operate when using this database, only scenarios crafted with whatever database you create from this blank slate will operate correctly. Well according to the game's database, a South Korean Aeigis ship(?)(KDX-3 King Sejong) is a frigate(FF). But I want to say that, it is actually a Destroyer(DDG). Hey guys Ive got a few questions about the HCCE db structure Bundy said you might be able to help me with. 1. The commondb.res and commondb.rsr: Are these the database files that are used for any game, and that I can edit with the pfbuild2002.mdb? 2. How do I create Battlesets? For example suppose I want to allow Alfa boats in the GIUK battleset, can I edit something? or make my own battleset? Where is the data defining what units can appear in which battlesets? I couldnt find it in the commondb. Thanks for any help you can give.

How can someone know if a plane is armed with guns or not? I am looking in the editor and I can't tell which planes have guns and which don't. Can someone fill me in? I was trying something out on Thunder Dragon and I can't get the MiG-17F Fresco C to intercept the American aircraft. Normally, the Staff will show me the distance and ask me if I want to intercept regardless if the plane has insufficient range to actually carry out the mission. However, I can't even get that far. I've tried to move them closer before trying to attack again, but still no luck. Could it be that they have no armament? Can you take a look at this platform, please?
