Hello. I'm in search of Harpoon v1.2 for the old Three-Sixty Computer Harpoon. My research is indicating it was released by disk directly from Three-Sixty by request of v1.1 game owners and not "released" per say with and add-on products like v1.1 (original release) or v1.3+. I had an interesting thing happen last night. The situation is two medium size enemy surface groups approaching, and submarines. Blue side fired a number of rounds of ASROC at subs intermediate the two main group bodies. The Red fired SAM (SM-2s?) at the ASROCs but the ASROCs delivered their loads before SAM intercept and the SAM kept going to hit one of the Blue ships. All of that I think is very good behaviour. The ship hit (and surrounding ships in the group) appeared to make no defensive move against the incoming missiles, not even the usual point defense got x of 'em, although they did warn 'in coming missiles you should fire up the radar' type message. . I'm running HCCE b09c under Windows XP. I recently designed a small scenario in the EC2003 IOPG Battleset. The strange thing I'm experiencing is that while playing Red, I'm getting reports on surface units from a Blue P-3. Has anyone else had this happen? If so, does anyone know of a fix? Thanx: Tom

I played HC'97 20-25 years ago and loved it. I completed a good chunk of the scenarios and battlesets back then. I noticed a few weeks ago that it was available on Steam, so I purchased it for nostalgia's sake. I completed all of the GIUK scenarios from the first battleset and moved on to the NACV battleset. Here is where I am running into issues. All three of the Okean class vessels in the first two scenarios are replaced with Kalinin class vessels. It is very odd to have a cruiser sailing solo with no escorts. It also causes severe imbalance issues, making the scenarios completely impossible for US/Blue and unenjoyable/non-challenging for USSR/Red. After doing a…

Hey all: Went and bought the Harpoon Ultimate edition and have been enjoying it immensely. However I noticed something that for me is a little offputting. Down the bottom of the game screen there seems to be a scrolling text advertisement for various image packs and the like. It also speaks highly of buying the game, which is a little strange since I bought it online from Matrix games. Is this stuff supposed to be there? Can I turn it off? Thanks Ant

I am a newbie in HCE. I am just trying to do a clean install of HCE on my laptop. I tried the following sequence of patches: 1. HarpoonCommandersEdition-SetupRelease-v2008-024 2. HarpoonCommandersEdition-UpdateInstaller-2008.024 = It's working 3. HCE-UpdateComprehensiveInstaller-2009.050 = Error: The specified file: '' could not be found. Do I have to install v2008.044 before install v2009.050? I am currently in the middle of playtesting a rather large and intense scenario in the Med, and the Staff Assistant is making me Very Grumpy. About every ten seconds real time he pops up to tell me that there are enemy aircraft in SAM range, and I really should light up my radars. This can go on for half an hour at a time, and makes playing the game somewhat ... painful ... Even worse, on the rare occasions when I do light up, he doesn't seem to realize it, and keeps popping up to tell me to light up radars that are ALREADY ON! Hi al i'm new to this forum but have been a long time player of this game. glad to see they revived the original design as i didnt care to much for the other versions that came out. playing with the commanders edition and was wondering if there was now a way to invade and take over an enemy base, other than just destroying it. Have noticed that you have combat troops and the like as loadouts for transport helos and planes but what good are they if you cant land them at an enemy base or installation after you have knocked their defenses down

Hi All, So I'm coming off what is for me a fairly successful run, the GIUK Convoy scenario. I have 8 merchant ships still alive, and have managed to sink a couple submarines as well as a surface group. Granted, firing a harpoon at a ship you can see visually is probably not a great idea. I was wondering if it might be any use sending my save game or message log to somebody to review how I'm doing. I'm not sure if it would be practical, I don't know how much state information the save format preserves. I've made observations in the other thread, and I don't have much to add to them just now. Hi, Long time Harpoon user, but have not used it for many years. Just bought the ultimate edition. Is there a link or suggestion for workflow? I am a MAC guy (i7 IMAC), but have win 7 64 bit running via bootcamp. I just loaded the win xp emulator so i can use the scenario editor. What programs should i load and where (win 7 and virtual pc), suggestions on how do set up your folders, manage different databases (i like to play around with the platform editor...sometimes even more than the game). I understand ROF for gun mounts is per minute, but please explain what ROF = for missile mounts. For example a Mk41 VLS has ROF of 30 per tactical turn (30 seconds) per Harpoon Data Annex. What value would you put in the database for ROF for the Mk41 mount? Example Mk26 has ROF of 6 missiles per tactical turn (30 seconds) per Harpoon Data Annex. What value would you put in the database for ROF for the Mk26? From testing it appears the ROF is irrelevant for non-SAM mounts. SSM missile or torpedo mounts for example fire as many round as allocated in the attack menu all at the same time. Hey I've been playing more Harpoon again and I've been running into some troubles in my Win10 installation. Specifically I've noted crashes of the game in the following situations: F8 (split groups) F7 (join groups) Opening "Order of Battle" Are there any issues you are aware of? Could it be a problem of database compatibility when playing older games with a patched up version of Harpoon? I am using HUCE 2015.027. Would you recommend running the game in some kind of compatibility mode when operating in Win10? Thank you, Alex
