Just analised the scenario Block2 and player with the victroy condition. To me it seems the game engine or database has a bug. I someone with the attached file able to get the min. vic. condition? BLOCK2t.zip

Allrighty, start submitting national anthems as wav, mp3, or other non midi formats that I can easily read, Enrique wants his sunk ship songs playing again. We'll need additional information with each: 1. What nation it is representing 2. Reasonble proof the file can be used in a commercial product with nothing more than attribution as 'payment.' I would suggest leaning towards instrumental variants but I don't see why lyrical variants wouldn't be acceptable though we'll review each for content.

Hello, Thought I would introduce myself. I am a long time player of Harpoon. I have been lurking here a little over a year. I received Harpoon Ultimate Edition as a Christmas gift and have been amazed at the improvements over my old (1997) version of the game. I also tried to follow a couple of Harpoon websites about a decade ago, but stopped after realizing there was a war in progress, but could not figure out the sides, combatants or issues. Hi, I just dug out my copy of HCE again and was looking for some info on game mechanics, the best source I could find was for H3. Specifically regarding air to air missiles "The probability of an air-to-air missile hitting the target depends greatly on the geometry of every situation, as well as which kind of missiles and targets are involved. Many factors will increase or degrade the probability of a hit or a miss. A common occurrence of this is when a missile is fired at a target that is moving away (an opening shot). Hi Folks, Apologies for the cross-posting - I put this up at the MatrixGames forum, it was getting a lot of hits but no replies. guess all the action is now with HUE. In any case... It's been a while - I finally upgraded to a Win64 machine, only to realize afterwards that I don't have XP Mode (Home "Premium" - what exactly is premium about it???). Anyways, I'd like to continue running the HCE editor - I saw the guides here on using XPMode that comes with Pro, Ultimate, etc. Can anyone confirm that VMLite will do the same thing? Hi, Long time Harpoon user, but have not used it for many years. Just bought the ultimate edition. Is there a link or suggestion for workflow? I am a MAC guy (i7 IMAC), but have win 7 64 bit running via bootcamp. I just loaded the win xp emulator so i can use the scenario editor. What programs should i load and where (win 7 and virtual pc), suggestions on how do set up your folders, manage different databases (i like to play around with the platform editor...sometimes even more than the game). I just purchased HUCE and installed it, with the intention of designing some realistic scenarios based on the current naval market (I work as a naval analyst, for a provate company). I installed HUCE, using the download. Low and behold, when I installed it, there was no Scenario Editor. I clicked that option, but it doesn't open. Has anyone else ran into this issue? Good afternoon, While I am not a newbie when it comes to playing HUCE, I am not convinced that I am using the ships in my missions in the correct role. Is there a book or something that some of the HUCE vets can recomend that explain what (as an example) what ship is a good anti-sub platform, while another is best used to perform in an anti-shipping role or which one should be best stationed in the formation to provide the best Anti-air defense role. I know that some of the basic scenarios don't require this information, but I am wondering if my 'flaws" as Battle Group Commander are prohibiting myself from experiencing this wonderful simulation to the fulle…

Hi guys, I have just purchased Harpoon from Matrix Games and have tried to download it. The download speed is averaging around 20-30kB/s which is extremely slow as I am using a DSL connection. Do you know if this is normal? I can normally download at around 700kB/s. Thanks

It seems that at least one type of submarines stopping when they shouldn't is involved with how the scenario is started (i.e. if you use File\Load User Scenario the subs don't stop but if you do File\New... they do). Loading scenarios and saved games (not to mention saving them) is almost unbelievably convoluted. Hello HarpGamers, Had to join and say thank you to all that play our game. Started on a Mac back in '95. Evolved to Windows' Classic '97. Forced to Windows XP and thought the game gone forever. Tried Harpoon Classic, and III, and AE: crashed every time. Figured she was gone. Thank the internet Gods for the Google Machine. Who knew? Found y'all... Initially, I found a playable III, and it just ain't the same. no matter what i have tried i can't get scenario editor to work with my 64 bit system, i have tried compatiblility modes of all sorts with vista and still no effect, i miss this editor, any great minds have a simple solution?
