There are both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the Windows 8 preview. Just like windows versions since Windows 2000 if you are running the 32-bit version the SE will run, if you are running the 64-bit version you will need some kind of virtualization. I have not seen any information about whether XP Mode will be included in Windows 8 licenses like it is in Windows 7 Pro and higher.
