(thanks eeustice) http://harpgamer.com/harpforum/index.php?/tracker/issue-86-debug-error-in-new-se/ - Chg:0000 SE Fixed a crash when flipping the platform display from All Units to Active Units.
  5. NSM would be a great step! The really scary part of the article for me is at the end. It suggests there hasn't been a missile live-fire from an LCS since 2010! Is all of the effort just going into keeping them afloat and moving? I'm all for sims but one needs to fire some real ordnance now and again.
  6. No, this is just a very first step in the direction over breaking through the 2000 item limit, developing utilities to export the legacy databases such as Original GIUK. Speaking of which, more progress. It now allows editing and exporting of all of the traditional annexes.
  7. More fun/progress and another bug squashed regarding magazines.
  8. As I tried to wrap my head around the idea of expanding the database limits, I keep coming back to the idea that we'll need a new database editor. MS Access is getting long in the tooth so a wholesale re-write might be nice. Well, the database storage mechanism will be a whole lot different so how do existing battlesets and scenarios get treated? Maybe their databases could be migrated to the new format. That train of thought led me to digging in old source code (from HC2002 actually) to see what Tools Bret had to dig information out of the legacy battlesets. It turns out he had a tool that exports any legacy battleset to the .csv files we are familiar with when using the platform editor. That was a big surprise. Even more was noting that he was already working on the code to take the .csv files and stuff them back in to the battleset.res files. That code needed some work but I just got it into shape (for Original GIUK anyway). Note the successful edit of database information!
  9. http://stratsims.com/CIC_MP01.php This is most notable just for the fact that I have the programming toolchain updated. Hopefully more to follow this Fall/Winter. Version History 1.0.7.6 2014-09-05 Changes 1. The world country outlines layer will no longer make the countries fill in with a solid white when the plotter is loaded a second time. 2. Scenario start date/time is now kept in the scenario file. ... 41661.0 0 The "current" time as well as other timestamps in the scenario file will be stored as offsets from the start date/time. In the example above, a "current" timestamp of 1.0 would evaluate to 41662.0 (January 2, 2014) !!!For 1.0.7.6 the only the "start" time is tracked!!! 1.0.7.4 2009/04/17 Changes 1. Added status bar display of range and bearing from last click to current mouse position. 1.0.7.3 2009/04/05 Changes 1. Per map status bar will now show bearing from last click to current click in addition to the range. (thanks Brains and Pete) 1.0.7.2 2009/04/04 Changes 1. No more need to copy in temp.env upon each load of the program, the plotter now properly preseves the .env file. 1.0.7.1 2009/03/30 Changes 1. If you have a temp.env file in the plotter directory, the plotter will use that to load globe settings (i.e. if you develop a custom map with MapBuilder, the .env file holds the presenters and such for that map). Note that the .env file is immediately over-written once it is read so keep a copy of the .env to keep plugging in each time you open the plotter. 2. Fixed the dual creation of each map window.
  10. We did some chatting on IRC tonight. Situations: 1. Two different classes of tankers are a part of the group, say KC-135 and F/A-18 with buddy store, in addition to the planes to receive fuel. The KC-135 will offload all fuel before the F/A-18 offloads any fuel. This is working from the theory that the F/A-18 will go closer to the target with the strikers. In fact, the KC-135 will even top off the F/A-18 if there is enough fuel. 2. Two different classes of recipients are a part of the group. Say 4 x F-16 and 2 x F-15. The F-16s will be fully topped off before the F-15s receive any fuel. The rule here is to first offload to the largest subset of like aircraft on the theory that they are the main body of strikers. If there were 4 x F-22 and 2 x F-35, the F-22 would receive fuel first since there are more than 2 of them. Discussion welcome about these and other cases.

HCE - 2014.015 - 2014-09-01 ========================== - Chg:I069 GE ASW missiles when shot down weren't showing the type of missile shot down. The logging function was only able to pull names from the missile annex (Annex D), ASW missiles are in Annex E. HCE - 2014.014 - 2014-08-31 =========================== - Chg:I078 GE ASMs were having SAMs fired at them even though the ASMs weren't detected. This was due to an inexplicable call to AreaDefense in FindMissileTarget. (thanks Grumble) http://harpgamer.com/harpforum/index.php?/tracker/issue-78-mk3-eagle-eye-ai-intercepts-undetected-pgms/

    Any luck Kruiser?

You cannot download additional battlesets and scenarios for the demo. You can however go back to Matrix Games and re-download HUE. See: http://www.matrixgames.com/support/faq.asp?id=8 Holler back if you have issues.

Can someone please try entering a range value other than 0.0 for the Refuel Store weapon and see how it affects gameplay? It could be the key to entering an amount of fuel available for offloading that is different from the tanker's range.
  16. Yes, in fact you might say I'm purposefully not fixing issues in it so far unless they are reported (seeing what kind of commitment there is out there).
  17. TonyE replied to BKR154's topic in Wish Lists
You may want to contact eeustice here on the forum, he has an unreleased (release it already ) database with many imaginative platforms.
  18. Excellent Grumble, thank you for the great write-up. Maybe I'll get the beta tester manual brought up to date as a result.
  19. No good news. I had a major breakthrough with Harpoon Classic so that has been monopolizing my very limited time.

HCE - 2014.013 - 2014-08-09 =========================== - Chg:I081 SE 32-bit SE. Moving a unit in the formation editor may lead to a Run-Time Check Failure #2 thanks to a string not being long enough to hold the class name. Wish List, http://harpgamer.com/harpforum/index.php?/topic/2478-ralfs-wishlist/ If you are really sneaky you can bake some national borders into custom battlesets for the GE. Otherwise, no, I wouldn't expect such a feature (or really any feature) additions in the 32-bit SE until a lot of bugs are reported and squashed.

HCE - 2014.012 - 2014-07-30 =========================== - Chg:I080 SE 32-bit SE. Fixed drawing of courses while they are being edited. Fixed code so that "Run-Time Check Failure #3" is no longer an issue in this particular case (it will likely crop up in other areas of the SE). (thanks Enrique) http://harpgamer.com/harpforum/index.php?/tracker/issue-80-scenario-editor-32-bits-problem-with-formation-editor/
  23. BTR-60, very nice. Will the buildings be deformable (i.e. send a tank shell right through a structure or try to enter a house with the BTR)?

HCE - 2014.011 - 2014-07-25 =========================== - Chg:0000 SE Work on a 32-bit SE. It is named Wscenedt32.exe. This is an unstable build meant for those who want to create issue reports to help make the SE more useable.
  25. Wow, those bots really love themselves a database! All kidding aside, thanks for noticing, that is an impressive number, even moreso considering it was downloaded many times before landing on this site.
