September 21, 201412 yr At last some of punch, USS Coronado fires NSM: http://www.defensenews.com/article/20140724/DEFREG02/307240028/LCS-Conduct-Test-Norwegian-Missile
September 22, 201412 yr NSM would be a great step! The really scary part of the article for me is at the end. It suggests there hasn't been a missile live-fire from an LCS since 2010! Is all of the effort just going into keeping them afloat and moving? I'm all for sims but one needs to fire some real ordnance now and again.
September 22, 201412 yr Author Oh, yes, and it was only a point defence RAM! And also the idea about "we don't need long range anti-ship missiles because LCS can't detect anything at long range" !!!!!
