Hi, I am trying to track down which Gearings and Sumners were updated while on Turikish service with Harpoon and 35mm dual guns - the DB shows only 2 of them, but I have found photographic evidence 3 were so updated, so I am trying to find out how they looked in the 90s, and it seems all photos on the web were taken from the bow! Any help, please?

Can some one confirm or otherwise my assumption that an aircraft radar with LDSD flag, but no other air search flag, has a blind spot through the tail? TIA Don

Brad, just downloaded Don´s latest scen, Diego Garcia, which will bring me a lot of fun and nerve-racking battles Included is the F-35 Lightning. I was surprised that both loadouts Intercept and Patrol only allocate four long range missiles to this aicraft. Thought it carried short range IR guided ones, too. Six to eight all in all. Is that bird really so poorly armed and thus not really well suited for dogfight? Regards, Ralf

I didn't see harpoon missiles as a possible loadout for the JSF. I would expect that they will be able to carry them?

Hi, I've newly bought HCE, having previously owned HC97, so the Platform Editor is new to me (I'm also not really familiar with Microsoft Access so this may be a simple problem). I have opened the pfbuild2005 file and created several new installations. I exported the database and opened the scenario editor (with PE now closed). However, only one of my new airbases was visible in the 'create new base' menu. I'm not sure why this is. I deleted my new ones and started again, with a similar result (but this time only two new bases visible). Any ideas? All help is appreciated, thanks.

So the general idea as I understand it, is the America's database will allow the ships and the air assets to be fully described for the North, South- and Central American countries. And some of the other 'interested parties' such as UK, Russia, probably China. Is that correct? Is there a way to write a scenario for the new battleset maps like Caribbean, and use the HCDA database, and keep the database and the scenario associated. Or will anybody that wants to run the scenario going to have to swap in the database files like what was described on the HCDA thread? To make people do the manual file swap, it can be done but not very convenient. I have not yet download…

I just downloaded the latest Database pdate HCDB 090128. When I went to the platform editor I could not find the new Ships listed. However when I went to the scenario editor They are there. I would like to know where the Virginia Block lll and the Bunker Hill (CM), and the Arliegh Burke Flight lla (CM) are located in the platform editor. Thank you -Tanthier

How many different platforms, weapons, installations, etc will the database handle? I went into the PE and made a new missile entry. The scenario editor/game would not accept the new entry, either gave a warning and closing or it wouldn't open. Same thing happened when I created the BCGN USS Colorado class. (Although I created a new OPV class surveillance vessel and a Chinese C-14 missile boat class that have been accepted.) I deleted the new entry and the the editor and game worked. I also went in an deleted a "do not use" JDAM bomb (ordinance) figuring that I had simply too many weapons. I replaced the deleted ordinance with a "RATTLR" hypersonic land attack…

Some notes on Swedish airforce in the DB: Note that there where few things more secret than missile loadouts and missile guidance in Swedish armed forces. Greetings, I have been working on a few scenarios in the Caribbean and Sub-Saharan Africa region and have seen there is a lack of any airfields in the HUCE DB for these areas. While I was driving into work this morning and idea hit me - INTL Arfld Lg and INTL - Arfld Sm. Like any other unit in the new group, they can be placed anywhere. Basic numbers could be assigned for their air defense and any additional SAMs can be separately placed around the units. Large airfields could handle all large fixed wind aircraft, while the small version would only be capable of suppporting VSTOL and helicopters. I was wondering if there was a way to find out how many weapons were left in each individual magazine. Just have a total # of each weapons left would be good too. Hello, I have another question. At aircraft entry, we have a slot called ECM. Is it compatible with ECM pod. For example, if we have a 10% ECM slot and a ALQ-131 ECM pod with 20%... Do we get a total of 30% ECM (10%+20%)? This is different if we have two ECM pods (20%*2=40%) that we know we can't have.
