    HCE - 2008.038 ============== - Chg:0000 GE Fix bug in fix for 2021 that allowed it to be applied to non-air groups. (thanks Rene) Rene found a problem in my original 2021 fix. It occured when the player is prompted to fire missiles at an enemy now in range (so your plane was intercepting an enemy, when it gets in range, prompt the player to fire missiles). Instead of being prompted to fire missiles, the intercept window was coming up asking to select planes to perform the intercept. Should be fixed now, need verification, as always.

    Now that HCE has been released, I have several under-construction-scenarios on the backburners that are being dusted off and polished up for release. This one, 'Foxes in the Henhouse', is for play by BLUE in the Westpac Battleset. Its an early Cold War era scenario that pits a pair of US Navy Skipjack class SSNs against a trio of Soviet HENS submarines, a Hotel class SSBN, Echo class SSGN and November class SSN (which began deploying in the early 1960s), before they can deploy into their patrol zones.     Yesterday i tried out if SAMs with nuke payload work as Nukes (Airbursts) against planegroups. I used the latest Beta. My DB and a small Testscen with 4 ships and lots of planes. the result with the Talos Sams: they achived single hits on single planes but no airburst effect against a whole plane group. nukesams.zip

    The focus of 2007.015 was the Ship to Ship torpedo firing, specifically . The goal is for it to remember the side and position of last base added, until you exit the base add dialog Please Test: 1. Make sure AI will fire torps against player ships (it will only do this when it cannot fire missiles or guns) 2. Make sure ASuW range ring include dual purpose guns.

    Been putting the BattleSet Builder through the paces in the last few days (as well as my abillity to build a DB) and came up with this: So far the BSB is working well, haven't found anymore bugs. And I just wanted to share and show what you can do... Noticed the textured water in BSB maps, nice touch.

    Hi There are some issues with ths tool. 1. when you include some scens in the Battleset they show up, but when you try to play them you get totally different ones(from they original/replaced bs?) 2. would be nice if there´s a way there´s a way to "remember" former settings (chart and scens)or and "Add" fuction if one want to add new scens to an existing Battleset.

    HCE - 2009.009 ============== - Chg:0000 GE Planes already within AAM range will not re-prompt to close to fire. The prompt was errant since they were already in range. Attached is a save of mine HCDB-081124 South Africa battleset. To see the errant behavior load up the save in 2009.008 and ask ANA to attack ZZC. Fire a missile or two at the helicopters in the carrier group and you should get a prompt to close range (something like, Sir, our attack range is 80nm, distance to target 57nm, should we close and attack?).     HCE - 2009.043 - 2009/09/04 =========================== - Chg:B129 GE In prior builds once missiles were already on the way to a target, the player wouldn't be prompted to fire more missiles even if units within striking range had available weapons. That functionality existed to prevent inundating the player with requests to fire weapons before previously launched attacks were resolved. This proved confusing.     OK, got a new computer with windows 7. Will I need to do anything to HCE other than re-install it on the new box, or are there any compatibility problems with HCE and windows 7. My experience with 64 bit systems is nil, so keep that in mind. If you are curious... Intel i7 Core 930 12 GB DDR 1600 RAM GeForce GTS 250 Video 1 TB HD I bought a full out gaming rig. It's working great so far. I dont' forsee having to upgrade for a while, and even if I do, the RAM is expandable up to 24 GB. I LOATHED Windows Vista...Windows 7 I'm finding myself content enough with however, pleasant surprise TBH.
