Hello, I'm brand new to this forum and looking for some help on activating my game software. I've just moved it to a new computer and having trouble getting it activated. I have the serial number. Can anyone help?

I am aware that we can just move bases if they are "off map" but what about base names, etc? I'm considering a possible Libya scenario but in the HCDB database there are no Libyan bases, I know its just a name but I think it looks silly if Tripoli airport is named as "RAF Kinross" just because the name isn't there...

Hi, I used to play Harpoon alot a long time ago. Like to try it again but before I buy it from Matrix I wanted to get a feeling for how well it works today and how stable it is. So I downloaded the demo, and it crashed. * Downloaded HCE Demo 2016.003 * Installed * Start, select GIUK, No mans land, Blue * Press Ctrl-B for order of battle * Click Airfield Aba * Game crashes I can't really think that this is normal, more likely something is wrong with my setup but I have no idea what would cause a crash like that in such a simple and repeatable way. Hi all, I've recently tried to install Harpoon Ultimate and after going through Matrix's recovery system, I was given the following file to download: Harpoon3UltimateANW-Update-v311-Beta.exe. After installation, I'm getting errors about several missing DLLs including Harpoon32.dll. The installation process and autorun programs aren't the same as I thought they were when I had the download originally. I've installed all patches from the Matrix site after v311 and have installed the HC2017.011GESEDBDUBSBB and HC2017.014GESEDU betas from here just in case. I tried to play the scenario "Kodak Moment" from the 2003 IPOG set but I saved it and stopped because I don't understand how to fulfill the victory conditions. It says to do "photo recon" of three ground forces. You can see the 3 ground forces on the map like they are bases (they are there before you even put any planes up). But I don't see any way of doing "photo recon". I have 2 search planes, 2 kiowa helos that could never reach, and 2 JSTARS. None of them can target the ground forces to do any type of "photo recon" mission, and just flying the JSTARS directly over the ground locations had no effect. I have encountered a situation where lowering my plane group altitude from Low to Vlow results in an immediate warning that my planes are detectable and that I should turn on my radar. I inadvertently have a near perfect example in a saved game. I was concerned that going to Vlow might crash planes from pilot error, so I saved the game before doing it. I would upload it as an attachment here, but the forum tells me I am not allowed to upload a file of this type -- it is "autosave.hpq". So I had to cheat a bit to get past your security. If you get rid of the " - Copy" part of the filename and change the file extension from "txt" to "hpq", it should work and y…

Given that these seem to be the 'Current Files' and my HUCE is v2015.027 would I be correct in thinking I need only install HC2015.028 SE to be fully uptodate?

I was wondering if it was possible to get a new improved (maybe high resolution) maps for this game? Or is that beyond the realm of possibilities?

I tried playing FONOPS off Venezuela 2020. Historical/Alternate History Scenario. 1.0.0 on HUCE. I couldn't play it because it needs scenario version 5, and I have version 3. I can't find a version 5 anywhere. Anyone have any thoughts?

Thanks to the help of the Matrix/Slitherine Help Desk I managed to retrieve my account thingummy and reloaded my Harpoon ( "Larry Bond's HARPOON Ultimate Edition Build 2015.027"). So after a long hiatus I am, as they say, back in the in the game. I understand that in HC, the water depth is determined by the further away it is from land, the more deep of the water is. I was looking at the red sea (middle east) for example, and I felt that the depth fall too quickly to the vdeep... Then I look at the depth around Great Britain also, I felt the same thing where the vdeep is a bit too close to the land.. Just curious on this, is there some consideration to change the calculation on depths--move it further from land? Not sure what everyone's thought on this is... maybe it's just me : )

Hi, I installed HCE and 3 updates in succession, culminating in HC2009.35 beta on a new net book using Windows XP home. When I click on the desktop icon, I get the MATRIX opening dialog, but when I click on "Play", I get an error. "Printer: EndDoc failed!" . The files have worked on a previous desktop installation. Same thing happens if I execute Winharp32.exe. The scenario editor works. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Smitty
