Can't start demo

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I've downloaded the demo (HCEDemo-2014.020.exe) and installed it successfully (i.e. w/out error messages) on XP 32bit, Win7 Ultimate 64bit and XP mode on Win7 64bit. in either setting, an attempt to start the programn leads to an error message indcating that no VCOMP120.DLL file was found. Checking the disk (dir /s C:\VCOMP120.dll in an adminstrator mode cmd shell) did not show any file of that name.

How am I supposed to get hold of that file?

TIA, Happy Easter & best regards

Volker

Volker,

Happy Easter to you too.

Please make sure that your Windows have the latest updates. If that doesn't fix the problem then try the fix below.

Do a general search on your PC for the file and then copy it into the directory it needs to be in.

I looked on the Microsoft web site and they poster 2 type of fixes.

Below is the Microsoft website link.

I hope this helps.

Updated installer has been uploaded. I have not tested it yet on a machine without the runtime. Holler if you have issues.

Thank you

Thank you very much Tony. This worked. I'm really impressed by this quality and response time of support.

That's great Volker, I just tested it on a clean XP install too and all is good there. I shouldn't have messed it up in the first place by not testing!
