April 4, 201511 yr Hi all, I've downloaded the demo (HCEDemo-2014.020.exe) and installed it successfully (i.e. w/out error messages) on XP 32bit, Win7 Ultimate 64bit and XP mode on Win7 64bit. in either setting, an attempt to start the programn leads to an error message indcating that no VCOMP120.DLL file was found. Checking the disk (dir /s C:\VCOMP120.dll in an adminstrator mode cmd shell) did not show any file of that name. How am I supposed to get hold of that file? TIA, Happy Easter & best regards Volker

If that doesn't fix the problem then try the fix below.Do a general search on your PC for the file and then copy it into the directory it needs to be in.I looked on the Microsoft web site and they poster 2 type of fixes.Below is the Microsoft website link.http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows8_1-winapps/missing-vcomp120dll/5c751829-368c-46af-ac37-98197f130c53I hope this helps. April 4, 201511 yr Thank you for posting Volker, I'll get an updated installer posted in the next 12 hours. It needs the visual studio 2013 runtime. Until then you can grab and install the runtime yourself from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40784Sorry for the trouble!
April 5, 201511 yr Updated installer has been uploaded. I have not tested it yet on a machine without the runtime. Holler if you have issues. Thank you
April 5, 201511 yr Author Thank you very much Tony. This worked. I'm really impressed by this quality and response time of support.
April 6, 201511 yr That's great Volker, I just tested it on a clean XP install too and all is good there. I shouldn't have messed it up in the first place by not testing!
