I'm currently playing GIUK 4.0. So Trondheim detects a number of missiles in the air from a Russian surface group (I know where it is rougly due to air recon). I also know there is a Kirvak pretty far ahead of the main body. Next thing I see the Kirvaks point defences shooting down a Sunburn. The next Sunburn hits the Kirvak sinking it. Presumably it works a little like the Harpoon? It's activated too soon and guided in on ther first ship its found! Very amusing!

I've got a scenario that requires airborne personnel to dropped onto a beachead. I've simulated this by flying the aircraft with the troops/equipment to the beach head but I have no freaking clue as to whether this worked or not. Can someone lend me a clue?

Hello, I would like to know if it is possible to reload ship magazines. Do you need a cargo ship to reload magazines? Like refuelling air groups with some tankers pressing alt+r?

I'm new to the forum but not new to Harpoon - I played (and still have) the original boxed set of pen/paper/counter/ruler & dice rules) and bought HC97 when it emerged on I-Magic in the UK in 1997. I have had many PCs since (currently have 3) and it has been on every HD since I bought it ! However, I am unable to locate any copies of HC Gold 2002 that I can buy - I do not have access to a credit card to purchase on-line from the publisher, etc. E-bay currently has only 1 Harpoon item (original DOS diskette-based prgram). I've been playing Harpoon on my Netbook and while it is playable it can bog down sometimes which I put down to the pretty poor 1.6Ghz Atom processor in my Compaq Netbook. I've been looking at "trading up" to an Acer Travelmate 8371 which has a 1.4Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor which is slower 1 core v 1 core but dual core is basically 2.8 Ghz, so I was wondering if Harpoon would actually utilise two cores?

Hello, My laptop was destroyed.....back ups were not the greatest..lets not go there...😡 I now have a WIN 10 Desktop and have installed HUCE. I can't figure out why the Scenario Editor will not open. I've looked throughout the forum and saw some mention of this happening in WIN7 but can't find an answer. Help please. Cheers

Are prowlers and other EW platforms automatically doing their thing when they're airborne, or do you need to turn on their surfce radar to activate the EW function? It seem sort of self-defeating to do this, but there was nothing else to indicate that the plane was jamming. I'm doing some research on a larger Vietnam era scenario during the Rolling Thunder campaign[65-68]. I've learned that destroyers in the Gulf of Tonkin were used for SAR missions and was wondering where the omni present helicopters are coming from. A friendly person on the consim world forum for Downtown has pointed me to this document: Navy SAR Vietnam report. On page 3 you can see a helo that is refueld in flight from a destroyer. Hi All, I've managed to get my hands on an original Harpoon Classic disc dated 1994. After much toing and froing I've managed to get it to play on my (was just about to throw out) Win XP doorwedge netbook. Possibly a bone question, Can I update this edition with files from harp gamer? It's fully working on my netbook, but I have absolutely no idea about going into the nuts and bolts of programs. Can someone point me in the right direction?
