September 8, 20214 yr I've got a scenario that requires airborne personnel to dropped onto a beachead. I've simulated this by flying the aircraft with the troops/equipment to the beach head but I have no freaking clue as to whether this worked or not. Can someone lend me a clue?

Paratroops have typically been modeled (somewhat unsatisfactorily) as ordnance, such that your transport ends up dropping (or launching) them on a target.

September 15, 20214 yr It maybe (well, it is) a oneway trip for the paratroops but, on the plus side, there's an inexhaustible supply of the blighters. RTB, load the next batch of digital volunteers and Tally Ho!

There is also the possibility that the transport needed to hang around the drop zone for a specified period of time. Unless the scenario orders were specific about dropping the paratrooper ordnance, sitting on station, or just keeping those aircraft alive, one would have to open up the scenario in the editor and examine the victory conditions.
