Sea Mines life after death

Not really an issue, but a bit funny, has anyone else noticed that a sea mine after detonating (and possibly sinking it's target ship) live on but minus armament. Unlike the Baka style weapon equipped suicide boats the sea mine doesn't self destruct once detonated.
