S-300V versus Kh-22 test
Some considerations on the use of Kh-22/32 Kitchen in Ukraine. For months I did think on any Kitchen has been shoot-down in Ukraine. This article gets many observation and ideas, but some are not clear or definitive. Perhaps all the Kitchen employed are those converted to Kh-32, flying at 44.000 meters (opposite to 27.000 meters the Kh-22), and are out of the flying envelope of most of the defensive missiles (less perhaps PAC-3 MSE). A solution can be doing the Kh-32 flying "Too High/suborbital" in the HCE DBs (In Harpoon V that height begins at 30.001 meters). Other highlight in the article is probably any Kh-47 Kynzal has been shot-down. Comments welcome: https://www.eurasiantimes.com/deadlier-than-hypersonic-weapon-why-ukraine-fears-russias/

Renaming loadouts
Also, if you rename loadouts and after share your scenario, as the other players have not the loadouts name changes on his databases, the scenario can be unplayable at some levels (as preformed air patrols, entangled with the loadout names changed).
-
Renaming loadouts
Beware! as example: - ASW and ASW-LR loadouts behave as effective ASW loadouts (patrolling, dropping sonobuoys, and so), but numbered ASW loadouts (ASW-1, ASW-2, etc) are not effective, the airplane/helicopter simply flights at medium height without dropping sonobuoys! (This is a bug not previously commented).

Hi-lo-hi missions
No, simply flights slower. Apparently the flight limitation is not range, but time in flight, as consequence, if you flight slower your range is smaller! Optimus range is achieved flying at the higher cruise speed of the available cruise speeds of the available levels of flight.
-
Standoff meaning
Probably yes, not changed, but the HCE program sometimes does weird things.
-
Standoff meaning
ATA: yes, air to air. BAI: Battlefield Air Interdiction, similar to close air support. MCM: Mine CounterMeasures, both for ships or aircrafts. SAR: Search And Rescue. SIOP: Single Integrated Operational Plan, euphemism for Total Strategic Nuclear War Loadout! (Formally only US between 1961-2003).
-
Standoff meaning
OOOOHHH, not, only 10% total!!!
-
Standoff meaning
It is basically a mission with weapons launched out of the enemy air defenses range, cruise missiles or other shorter ranged weapons.
-
Standoff meaning
No, it's only a 105 total.

AC home base
About the vote: I did vote "never" with the detailed explanation in the previous post. But click "never", I didn't see any change in the pool, I'm questioned something as "If you see the results, you can't vote", but I voted previously: outcome, I open the pool, none vote is casted, even my "never" vote, and obviously the system says me "you can't vote because you watched the result"!!!

AC home base
Never automatically for me, only at the player discretion (many times compulsory by the scenario text/rules), just as now (too complicated to change bases in a short scenario by maintenance, weapons and fuel issues). For the IA only when the base/ship has been destroyed, the aircraft/helicopter should land in the nearest base/ship. for the IA its possible to program a base change at a determinated time, as example take-off the bombers from base A to base B after some hours (10 hours of the scenario start, as example) of timeplay, and later the IA conducts attacks from that base B because previously in the scenario building some attack missions have been programmed (as example at 20 hours of scenario start) with bombers present in the base in the scenario building, and later DELETED (in this example, the bombers come from base A to base B at 10+ hours, and later start its strikes at 20+ hours).

View File China in the Horn, late October 2023. Hypothetical historical scenario. China in the Horn, late October 2023. Hypothetical historical scenario. A Harpoon Commander's Edition scenario for EC2003 Battle for The Middle East Battleset and the HCDB2-170308 new standard 1980-2025 Platform Database. This scenario is designed with advanced Scenario Editor and to be run with HCE 2015.008+ or later. This scenario is designed to be played from the Blue/Western Coalition side or from the Red/Chinese side. You should play a few times first the Blue side to avoid spoilers, and only later play the Red side. Image: USS Carney (DDG 64) while on patrol in the Mediterranean Sea Sept. 23, 2016. Carney, an Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer, forward-deployed to Rota, Spain, for antiballistic missile duties and with the SeaRAM mount aft, is conducting a routine patrol in the U.S. 6th fleet area of operations in support of U.S. national security interests in Europe. (U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 3rd Class Weston Jones/Released, a serviceperson on duty, and in consequence on public domain, took from Wikipedia Commons). At the end of the very military convulse year of 2023, with one and a half years of Russian invasion of Ukraine, other globe points were poles of interest. This scenario is inspired in "Escape from Aden", published by Martyn Kelly in Harpoon SITREP 65, October 2023, but developing in late 2023 updated with multiple current events, and in consequence with more elements of complexity. With the almost all out campaign of Israel against Hamas after the October 7 terrorist attacks, other actors were revealed as clearly supporting Hamas. In fact, USS Carney was forced to shoot-down missiles and drones directed from Yemen to Israel through nine hours on 19 October 2023. Also, news about the deployment of not one but at least two Chinese surface groups with the alibi of fighting piracy in the Indian Ocean and from its new (from 2017) base of Port Doraleh, very near (some six nautical miles!) to the Western Forces in Ambouli increased the tensions in other world regions. In this hypothetical case, after the Chinese surprise invasion of Taiwan, the Chinese forces in the Gulf of Aden are forced to flight to the open Indian Ocean trying to escape its irremissible demise, reminiscent of the German cruisers trapped far seas worldwide in August 2014. Also, as the Western Forces are caught off guard, have at its disposition only scattered, limited and irregular random assets to prevent the Chinese flight. This scenario depicts the historical deployment of naval forces in late October 2023. Could you prevent the escape of the Chinese forces, or as Chinese commander could you escape to the open Indian Ocean, East of Socotra? Enrique Mas, November 12, 2023. This scenario looks interesting
I almost don't remember it!!!

Ships magazines error
Incredible work and incredible outcome!!! (no pattern of the errors, as I did suspect!). Thanks Donald.

Ships magazines error
Thanks Don, yes I use a modified DB, but theorically the magazines are load with the correct ammo! Thinking more in the problem ...

Ships magazines error
As example this test scenario, SA-12 and ASTER 30 batteries don't reload its mounts: 2023-01 KITCHEN GIANT ASTER 30.zip

Ships magazines error
also, as a related issue, I see many mounts (now testing land-based SAMs, but also ship-based gun mounts) are not reloading its mounts, even with the correct magazine loads.
