December 28, 20232 yr Hello, I am creating a new scenario and I have the next question? Does an aircraft flies longer if it flies higher? For example, I have an aircraft with... Low level, cruise speed: 300 knots. High level, cruise speed: 400 knots. Does it spend the same level of fuel flying at different speeds so it can flies longer flying at high level?

Apparently the flight limitation is not range, but time in flight, as consequence, if you flight slower your range is smaller! Optimus range is achieved flying at the higher cruise speed of the available cruise speeds of the available levels of flight.
