I just got an original shrink wrapped box with H2 on optical disk, probably CD. It runs only on DOS, so I drug out an old Compaq biz PC, blew the dust off, said a short prayer and fired it up. It's alive! But, running XP, so I installed Windows ME which has a working Virutal DOS mode, and after a bit of tweaking the game runes, but it needs patches, badly.

I know this is off-topic a bit, but I couldn't really find anywhere it wasn't. I have been looking for a full ANW download, anywhere. It seems that if you don't have it now, you're screwed—also, the H2 database editor. I found the menu-driven one, but it's all but useless. Any pointers to either or both would be awesome.

i've found my bigbox verion of harpoon 2 but when i try to install it i get a "you cant run this game on your computer " msg. My pc runs Sea Power etc which led me to search for the old classic harpoon stuff that i have such fond memories of. I have downloaded dosbox hoping that would sort it but I hav'nt really got a clue what to do. Is it salvageable or would I be better off with Ultimate Harpoon which i think contains my fave 'Dolitovs raid'?

Hello, I have been installing again H3ANW and I can't run the scenario editor. After each installation of HUCE, H3ANW, H3v364 and H3v394 it appears a message saying that registration key is invalid. I have started HUCE game engine and scenario editor and they run properly. I have started H3ANW game engine and runs properly but SCE doesn't.

Good Morning, I have H3 ver. 3.9.4 and H3 ultimate ANW. I switch between games for no specific reason and I noticed they have different databases, and even different configuration launchers. H3 has the HUD3 1.3.21 while the ANW has HUD3 1.5.0 DB. I would like to update to the latest DB. Could anyone tell me what the most current DB is and how to update? I just started playing Harp again and although I can remember updating in the past, it was a lot of years ago and my memory just isn't what it used to be. Thanks in advance!

Hello All, I am just getting back into Harpoon after a few years. I have the HUD3 and ANW versions and I am trying to put together a Time over Target spreadsheet. I have the very basics now for just a few planes and weapons but I would like to get the planes and weapons databases into a spreadsheet. I need speed info on the aircraft and weapons (harpoons, tomahawk, etc) to work the numbers. It looks like it will take some tweaking but so far I can get close. Way back I had edited the Ship DB adding the MSO, MCM, and MHC. But that was maybe 20 years ago. Can anybody give me a hand with this? Thanks in Advance! Bob Cashman

My version of Harpoon 3 ANW is 3.7.00. I downloaded and installed the collection of scenarios "complete_ANW_library.zip". When I start the program gets an error message, "annex version later than program version". So the first question I ask is: what is the version of Harpoon 3 ANW that this database (or library) wants? Not knowing the answer I tried to download the latest patch available I have found, the 3.11.1 (the file is called exactly "Harpoon3ANW-UpdateRelease-v3111.zip"). Hi Folks, Back again - how can I switch my carrier battle group EMCON state to passive ??? I select the group icon and hit the sensor button - change the radar state to passive - but nothing happens - it stays active... Typically my carrier battle group is not part of a mission - just a "plotted" course and speed - I did try adding the group to a mission with an EMCON state of passive - that didn't work either... I did have a missile attack a few hours previously - but - I eliminated the threat and it's been quite ever since... Thought it might be prudent to switch back to passive to make us a bit harder to find... Any thoughts ? Regards, Scott

Hi Folks, Question - noticed there was a Colonial Wars Database - looks like it was last made for 3.6... I can't seem to find a valid database download - they have it on the old Matrix site but it's a bad link and just loops... Is it worth finding - or - is 3.6 lacking in many of the newer features ?
