August 6, 201411 yr Hi Folks, Question - noticed there was a Colonial Wars Database - looks like it was last made for 3.6... I can't seem to find a valid database download - they have it on the old Matrix site but it's a bad link and just loops... Is it worth finding - or - is 3.6 lacking in many of the newer features ? Is it available anywhere ? Wouldn't mind trying some older scenerios... Any suggestions ? Regards,Scott

Regards, Scott Hi Scott, IIRC the Colonial Database was developed by Paul Bridge aka Sirius for Harpoon 3 and the first versions of H3 ANW. The last version I have is V 2.1 for H3 ANW dated 2007-05-10. The last version for H3 (up to 3.6.3) seems to be V 1.9 as of 2006-07-16. It covers the 1950-1964 time frame. Paul is one of the Command developers, maintains a database for this new (and briliant) sim and thus this H3 db is no longer maintained.
August 6, 201411 yr Author Hi JSF, Thanks - seems things are pretty quiet around here these days... I've messed with the Harpoon serries on and off for years - since it's inception... I never really messed with any of the mods apuntil recently... I've seen the new sim - but - I haven't tried it yet - everything I've read seems like current day... I do like some of the more period battles with earlier equipment... I may try it - but - the $80.00 dollar price tag makes it pretty steep for the casual aficionado... Is the Colonial database still available anywhere ? Thanks for the info... Regards, Scott
August 6, 201411 yr Scott, I´ve asked the editor if I´m allowed to send it to you or upload it here at HG. Stay tuned.
July 14, 20169 yr If I can help, I have most of the various databases that have been available over the years on file. 1950-1964 v1.7 ADB (The advanced database)DB 2000 (tho, I know Ragnar is still active so there is probably a more up to date version than mine.)The db1945 v1.0.1_database.I know what you mean about the earlier stuff. I built my own database so I could re-fight things like Hampton Roads, Jutland and the Falklands or chase Zeppelins or mix it with Richthoven's flying circus in WW1, or the re-fight the Battle of Britain without the Fuhrer breathing down your neck or try and stop the Yanks taking Leyte Gulf in WW2. Eleven hundred odd ships and 550 or so aircraft later.... it even has tiger tanks that move (I wanted to have a go at Kursk.. ) If you're as crazy as me, right at the bottom of the DB, you'll find Roman Triremes and Greek Galleys too, manned by hosts of archers. Even my modern database has things like RORSATS and Railguns. Improvise, adapt, overcome. If they say its okay do do so, happy to share.
