Background: This forum encapsulates perhaps the most thorough documentation of sub-optimal performance of HC. Most of the reports demonstrate excellent form and presentation to make addressing defects as easy as possible, use them as a template. The term Defect is used since not everything is a bug; some items are bugs, some are design limitations, some voice a dissenting viewpoint, defect is the term chosen to cover all of the ground.

Replace "Username" with your forum username and 2017.011 with the version of the game in which you see the issue.
Hints: A test scenario is better than a saved game. A tiny test scenario targeted at the problem helps track down the issue. The fewer the units in the scenario, the easier to debug as well.

I was cleaning up my HDS9-10 scenario for release and the Memory Allocation Failure reappeared when I tried to add ASW helo's to TG AAC. I was able to recreate the problem several times. GE 2021.010, Test save game zip attached, using westpac battleset and hcdb 150929 database At point of start 3 fa 18 detect two helo and a ship. Total victory is to destroy a ship, min victory is to destroy a helo. If you first sink the ship then down the helo you only get min victory, I would expect you'd get both min and total victory as both conditions are met. If you down the helo then sink the ship you get your minimum vic (when helo is downed) and total when ship is sunk, as I'd expect. PS in the same scenario but with no minimum victory set you get total victory when you sink the ship so that is good. victest.zip

(ZUa)When attempting to change destroyed air base (ZUa) to blue using Turncoat, receive "Side change failed, no group id available" message. Created a test scenario and was unable to duplicate the issue. Earlier in the game I converted a red base to blue base (DSa) using Turncoat. There was an update to Turncoat after base was converted to DSa due to a previous GE crash caused by Turncoat. It appears that the side in the Turncoat base resets it self back to the Red instead of the Blue side. I have restarted the GE several times and the issue persists. I am wondering if this issue is related to TonyD's Red side missile issue. When attempting to attack Red missile group XuM I am unable to select it as a target. The target missile group has 36, KH-101 ASuW missiles in it. The is on the northern part of the map up by Petropavlovsk, Russia When attempting to attack the missile group I am unable to select it as a target for Air-to-Air missiles. It doesn't register as a target. I can select the missile group with the mouse and see it's Group ID and get the missile groups info in DonT's AI window. I was thinking the problem was the Stennis Group (AEC), but I'm not sure (perhaps after change variable start points, but I don't see it clear). Too late in the day to find it now! Test uses mk13gmls (one armed bandit), 4 harpoon ssm available and three surface target in range. DB indicates only one harpoon can be fired at a time (single rail launcher) but the restriction isn't applied. Also DB indicates only two targets at a time but can target more. attached zip contains txt explanation of test, original scenario (Westpac BS) used in test, two saved game short cuts and screen shot to help explanation text. I get a couple of different errors when trying to load user scenarios in HCE. GetMemAnnexA Error: !!S_Disk. The message has been logged. The Program will now terminate. or The requested scenario file requires a newer version of the game. This scenario is version 5. This games supports through version 3. Exiting. (game says no updates are available) Any help getting these scenarios to load would be appreciated.

Hey Tony While helping Eric on a issue I became aware of an issue. We find out that a 0kts problem Eric was having occur in version 2021.014 but was not occurring with his test scenario with my computer which was only at 2021.012. He down his version and it fixed the problem for him. I decided to update to 2021.014 but got the attach popups. I tried to do this with the latest 2022 version with same effect. I then tried to go back to 2018 version to start reloading up to the latest version but the same popups occurred. It seems to indicate my winharp.exe is now out dated. I changed nothing an use the process of updates to the latest version of 2021.…

I think that is a little low for a plane to fly. Even I haven't created a plane that can do that yet!
