Given that these seem to be the 'Current Files' and my HUCE is v2015.027 would I be correct in thinking I need only install HC2015.028 SE to be fully uptodate?

Followed the instructions and think I correctly installed HCDB-150928 (1980-2015 era). Not being especially expert I just looked into the Air Platforms within game. Expected to see the F-35 there as it has been declared operational as of the past summer, not there. Also, the 'whatsnew.rft' states: Extensive re-engineering to track platform changes over the years. For instance, many aircraft carriers will have 5 or more variations over their service lives. For thise that don't scour Discord HC discussions a recent interesting concept came in about gaining points or awards for completing scenarios. Apparently this is something common in the gaming world so many will know about it. Its worth a little look at the discord recent posts of the last few days if you use the platform. Anyway it has me thinking about how this could be done (the structure is there to do it) and currently I'm thinking of issuing a score (by an unbiassed exportdll probably) according to some (not yet determined) formulae and string those scores for a player across related scenario strings eg a battleset. I'm playing HCE, an EC2003 scenario called "Steal Second" (HDSI 11) and I've noticed a very strange thing: Both AGM-64 Phoenix and AGM-120 AMRAAM have a 60nm range. And while the C5 version of AMRAAM indeed is estimated to fly as far as 65 nm, the Phoenix is widely known for its superior range of over 100nm. How is it possible then that here it's so short? On a separate note - while playing another scenario (which I've attached in my previous topic) there's been no possibility to convert any of my aircraft to a tanker. Hey everyone, just upgraded from a 1680x1050 (22") monitor to a full HD 1920x1080 (24"), and I found that the Group and Unit Windows has some kind of lock/max size on it. Is this intentional/intended (perhaps a windows OS limitation)? I prefer to have a bigger Group window rather than Unit window. Not a big problem (it's already huge anyway), but just curious.

I have played for long to Harpoon Classic many years ago, I have now found out that an updated version called HCE is sold online and I've just downloaded the demo before buying the game. I have tested the demo this week but I have found a very annoying bug, it seems that many subs are almost impossible to sink: you need to release 15 or more torpedos before even seeing the animation of the torbedo approaching the sub. Hi all - After a 15 year hiatus, I've decided to get back to Harpoon - one of my all-time favorites. I have a couple of questions................ As I read several of the posts here at this forum, it seems that HCE is perhaps more bug-free compared to ANW. Is that a fair conclusion? Also, it sounds like one of the first things I should do upon purchase, is download the Players DB. Is this a fairly intuitive process? Hey everyone. I just bought Harpoon Ultimate Edition, and I'm loving it so far. A few questions: 1) How do I set waypoints for aircraft that involve orders? For example, move to waypoint 1, turn on radar, move to waypoint 2, etc. 2) I've also noticed that my E-3 AWACS have a huge lag time in responding to orders; I haven't noticed this with other aircraft. It can make for some dicey situations, especially in Keflavik scenarios. 3) How can I set patrol patterns for ASW aircraft? Right now, my ASW aircraft fly to a point, drop a sonobuoy, and then just sit there. How can I get them to drop multiple sonobuoys in a pattern (when they aren't actively orde…

im kind of wondering how hce handles asw patrols by aircraft. I send out a p-3 or a s-3 on a patrol, and making sure the loadout is asw, and once they get to the location of the patrol, all they do it seems is fly around in circles, loitering...arent they supposewd to start a line of sonobuoys? or maybe a box MAD search? Or am i not doing something, or doing something wrong? Any help or tips would be great

This is kind of a dumb question but I'm gonna go with it... How do I get new scenarios and battlesets? I am pretty sure I have Harpoon Ultimate Commander's Edition (from Matrix games). I saw that there are different databases and that you can install different scenarios and battlesets. I also saw that there were download links on these forums. I'm just not sure how I go about doing that. Do the new Battlesets require a new database? I was interested especially in the new battlesets (USNI, Carribean, South Atlantic, etc.)

I think the screenshot is self-explanatory: a KC-135 tanker landed on an aircraft carrier Just to give you some background (perhaps to help reproduce), I'm still playing HDSI 11.0 in HCE. I have formed an AtG strike group out of 6 F-16s and a KC-135 for range extension. After the refueling was complete, I was asked where should the KC-135 land and among the options were all the aircraft carriers! So I though - what the hell - and decided to try it out . By the way, some time ago in HC 2002 I managed to land some C-130s on an aircraft carrier too

When I play Blue (U.S.) forces I get a bunch of Kingfish missles in the face. When I play red, F-14 Pheonix down all my planes? What can I do? I'm usually playing a GUIK scenario (in Harpoon Ultimate Commanders Edition I think) that tends to have U.S. carriers. I recently played a scenario (don't have the name with me) that gives me 2 U.S. Carriers steaming east towards the Kola Pennisula. Auto formation air patrols are decent but not great. I usually take half the number of AAW airplanes I have and put them on patrol via the formation editor. Am I correct in doing this? ie does this mean that there will be continous coverage? I'm wondering those who are regularly using HC which Game Engine version you normally use, eg 2022.027 last matrix patch, 2025 comprehensive update or something in between. Also, are you occasionally having aircraft fall from the sky having run out of fuel? I'm trying to find when this started, I'm thinking shortly after 2022.027. We have a bandaid fix for recent versions that seems to be working but in ge 2022.008 I recently seem to have found a new version of the bug that is immune to the bandaid solution.

Hi, I am an old Harpooner who decided to D/L the HC demo the other day. I had all the DOS versions and battlesets, and I did beta testing for H97 and EC2000. I had H2, and I bought Patriot too. So I notice these little lightning bolts that show up next to my a/c, enemy a/c, and enemy surface units. What are theytelling me? I am guessing jamming, but I can't find anthing in the manual. Speaking for jamming, does it just "happen", or are their finer points t using it. In general,I am impressed with the demo.
