Hi Folks, Question - noticed there was a Colonial Wars Database - looks like it was last made for 3.6... I can't seem to find a valid database download - they have it on the old Matrix site but it's a bad link and just loops... Is it worth finding - or - is 3.6 lacking in many of the newer features ? Is it available anywhere ? Wouldn't mind trying some older scenerios... Any suggestions ? Regards, Scott

I just decided to dust off my H3 ANW, but first I need to update it with all the latest patches. The problem is, as I enter the download section of Matrix Games website, I can see like 4 updates since my version (3.9.0.) So my question is, which patches do I need to download, and which already contain previous patches. Or do I need to download and install all of them?

For some reason, the Data Base Manager tab of my Launcher shows two instances of HUD3 - 1.6.1 - May 4TH 2011. Selecting either one appears to have identical results in the game, but the DB is listed twice for some reason. Is this supposed to happen? If not, is there a way to remove one of the entries without trashing anything. The Launcher's .ini file doesn't seem to have any entries that apply, and I'm not sure where else to look. Yes, I've taken the plunge and acquired Harpoon 3 Advanced Naval Warfare. Does this mean that I've switched to the "dark side" and won't be playing Harpoon Classic, building scenarios for it, or continuing work on the HCDB ? Umm, no. Not on your life. The pull of potential multi-player Harpoon action is strong, however, and if it is half as fun as Silent Hunter III has been, it should be a ball. Gimme some time to get up to speed on this new fangled toy, and then I'll be looking to try some MP. Hopefully we can get some AAR's posted up here too.

Im having problems again with weapons not shooting within their range. Target has been identified and an enemy yet the staff message pops up sayinig tatget is out of range. Tony E, not a dire need so don't get yourself fired from work answering my silly question. Harpoon ANW V 3.10 DB is HUD 3. Thanks again, Steve OK. Weapons seemed to fire after pulling back from the target. Inside minimum range perhaps. Also EA 18 Growlers firing HARM 88 weren't given option of which RADAR to shoot on enemy vessel.

Hey im new n just downloaded Harpoon 3 ANW, but i have a problem. I downloaded it n got it but i dont have a serial for it soo if somebody kan point me in the rite direction for the serial generator or kan loan me one i dont knw!!! i just want to play a great looking game lik this!!!!

Hello, I'm new to Harpoon 3ANW, I have the players DB and have successfully set up a multiplayer test game in the AoA server. Would anyone be interested in totally destroying this newbie sometime soon? I am in the Pacific Time Zone(USA). Server doesn't have to be AoA, just let me know which server you prefer and the name or ip and we can hook up as our schedules allow. thank you!

After designing a scenerio and returned to play it, the game shows all the enemy units, the enemy units paths and does not show any missions that were made in the scenerio editor. Also Blue side cannot attack any Red side units. Message states no enemy units or contacts selected. Any ideas on what happened? Thanks, Steve

Hello, I have just downloaded the latest version of the Players Data Base for Harpoon ANW Version 3.9. It seems to run quite well but I do have a couple of questions. 1) How do I change the ratio of longitide to Latitude on the scenarios maps. Some maps , upon intial loading are so distorted as to be un playable. I looked all over for the settings to correct this - but so far have found nothing. Can you help pls? 2) When one downloads the the complete Players Data Base where are all the new scenarios located? I can find all the old ones but not the new ones- I may be looking in the wrong place. Thank you allans

H3 ANW v3.10.1.0 HUD3DB v1.6.1 While playing a scenerio I designed a Eurofighter Typhoon is ordered to attack a red ARM MBT Troop position using a MBDA/Storm Shadow/SCALP missile. Just before missile hits red target missile acquires blue base and hits it instead. To play the scenerio launch the Typhoons from the base south of Manila and attack the MBT positions near the embassy building in Manilia. Just curious if there was any news about AGSI. Their website, http://www.computerharpoon.com/, simply says "We are having problems with our site ..." but it has been saying that for weeks. Does anyone know anything? Thanks. Mark

I've been out of the Harpoon loop for a few years, it's nice coming back to see that my old favorite now has honest-to-goodness multiplayer; also a big thanks to Tony and Herman for helping me get it working reliably last nite and offering me up a thorough schooling of hard knocks in ASW warfare. I'm interested in comments from H3/ANW old hands regarding the different versions of the game that are in the ultimate edition relesae. One item that might be a hiderance to me is my RAM, 1/2 gig including onboard video. 3.6.3 seems to play more smoothly than ANW [3.10.1 update?] and it handles automated ASW work better (my observation open to user error). ANW certainly has a few nice extra bits but I'm looking for what will play the game best. Recent custom scenarios look far more interesting to me than the old built in ones (and I need up dated databases to run them but haven't yet managed to effect this in 3.6.3), how would this effect version choice? I've seen that ANW has a v3.11 update yet after using the check for update option the program says that I have the most up to date version which I still have 3.10. Been struggling with this for awhile so do relieve my frustration!
