I still haven't found my old copy of Office 97 and I'm wondering about Access 97 Runtime that you guys have made available to us. Is it more than a viewer or can it be used to modify and save DBs? Create report formats, etc?

In the process of setting up a scenario using the Middle East battleset and the HCDB-080824, I've noticed that a number of the bases in the smaller gulf nations, for example Shaikh Isa AB in Bahrain, Al Udeid in Qatar, and Al Dhafra in the UAE, are rather seriously misplaced ...

Hi, there´s a new db out for HCG2004. It is focused on GIUK/Atlantique Ocean/Mediteranean. IOPG is also supported but only very limited and it is not sure that this theater will be supported in the future. It is a regional DB for the period from around 1975-2005. The db is still in a BETA state! So please feel free to report all errors/wishes/hints/etc to the author (me). Get it here: http://www.harpgamer.com/databases/HC_EURODB-050306.zip The main difference is the changed philosophy for base structure. All long range weapons (SAM/SSM) will be removed from Habours/Airbases. So a Scen-Writer has to add mobile Units to replace the SAMs with improved de…

DB Authors please read through: http://harpgamer.com/harpforum/index.php?/tracker/issue-134-problem-naming-individual-ships/?gopid=641&do=findComment&comment=641 It boils down to a suggestion that you add new ship and submarine names to the end of the list of names for the class so that scenarios built with an older version of your database will show the correct names when played with a newer version of the DB.

Hi As most of us know is the LRMTS Flag used to represent the capability of a plane to fly nap of earth with out crashing. But LRMTS stand for laser ranging ... not for terain following. But it is possible to rename the field in the PE with out hurting the game... So let us find a smarter name for it!

Brains found an inconsistency in the Aircraft short names battleset string. The data fix is applied by you database authors. Not fixing it doesn't really hurt anything, it could just be confusing to later editors. Instructions: 1. With your database loaded in the PE, go to the lPlatformSubTypes table. 2. Scroll down the list until you are at Annex 5 3. Unless you've already fixed it, where Annex = 5 and ID = 15 you'll see double quotes that were caused by a missing comma. 4. Delete those double-quotes, close the table, then export. 5. Data inconsistency solved, thank you for participating.

In anticipation of the soon to be released BattleSet Builder, in which HCE players will now be able to play scenarios across the entire globe, I've put together a new database that focuses on the 'Americas' - North, South and Central. The Harpoon Commander's Edition Database - Americas (HCDA) contains a wealth of new aircraft, ships, submarines and installations for the theater, as well as retaining and/or adapting many platforms from the official database of the Harpoon Commander's Edition simulation, the HCDB. This allows the fullest range of scenarios to be created with the BattleSet Builder tool, from Soviet/Cuban interventions in Central America and the Caribbe…

File Name: HCDA-110606 File Submitter: CV32 File Submitted: 2 Mar 2008 File Updated: 6 Jun 2011 File Category: Databases Authors: Brad Leyte Game Version: HCE / Battleset Builder HCDA-110606 by Brad Leyte (replaces previous version HCDA-110225) The HCDA (Harpoon Commander's Edition Database 'Americas') is a custom database. The stock HCE scenarios for EC2003 and Westpac will NOT function with this database installed. Use the stock HCE 'commondb.rsr' to ensure platform pic compatibility. The HCDA adheres to a policy of adding platforms but not deleting to retain backwards compatibility with all HCDA scenarios. Copyright @ 2008-2011, Brad Leyte…

The U.S. Navy is set to demonstrate the ability to fire an AGM-88G Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile Extended Range, or AARGM-ER, from a ground-based launcher this year. The missile's manufacturer, Northrop Grumman, has been pitching surface-launch options for the weapon, and derivatives thereof, for years now. The Navy is also exploring adding the AGM-88G to the already expanding arsenal for the P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol plane. https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/navy-to-test-ground-launched-version-of-new-radar-busting-missile https://news.northropgrumman.com/news/releases/northrop-grummans-advanced-anti-radiation-guided-missile-extended-rang…

I'm probably going to regret this, but... Is there a way of creating a scenario-specific database in the EC2003 battleset? Here's the short version. There's a HDSIII IOPG user scenario called "Sea Orbit '65" involving the CVN Enterprise's nuclear task force back in the 60's. Because of the limitations of this battleset, there are no carrier-based F4s or A4s available, nor is the SSN Triton. What I would like to do is create a 1965 database of the appropriatly armed USN ships and aircraft, and some slightly over-the-top units belonging to SMERSH or SPECTRE or even Dr. Evil's minions. The end result would be a small database of maybe couple dozen ships, subs and airc…
