I am creating a new scenario for the Caribbean. To make the scenario really work I need to provide some intel to each side at a point several days into the events. Is their any way to have the staff come in and announce anything? Seems like if the ability to launchg a strike or recon asset at some time point exists, maybe the ability to provide intel at a time point would be easy also? RAS

After Action Report: French Ivory A scenario by Mark Gellis 'French Ivory' is a new HCE scenario for the 'South Africa' Battleset. I played the scenario using beta 2008.042. Well, I finally got the new Harpoon (HCE). So far, I'm very impressed. A couple of questions... First, it seems like you can only load one extra battleset (South Africa, etc.) at a time. All the files use the hdsu.res and hdsu.rsr files and each time you load a new one, it replaces the last one. The scenario files remain, but you need to restore the appropriate map to play it, I guess. (I tried changing the file to something like hdsv.res, but it didn't work.) Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? Second, how do you get AI subs to move in the scenario editor? Do you set a course, and THEN set a speed, or what? So far, they just sit where …

To anyone who tried my Falklands test scenario -- thank you and I do appreciate input. Thank you to CV32 who has updated the HCDA database to allow planes on the Atlantic Conveyor & its sister ship. I have just figured out how to simulate the Black Buck raids -- the bombing of Port Stanley from Ascension Island -- by using enough tankers and the split/join function to create groups where the tankers get refueled. With this we ought to be able to create a nice battleset of the '82 conflict. More to come.
