Israel used nukes to halt it. Outraged, the world imposed a complete embargo on Israel. The United States decided to break the embargo, by force if necessary. BLUE only. This is a sequel to "Hold Fast!". There will be a third scenario in this series soon. The good news is that Russian naval power projection is poor. The bad news is that your stuff isn't very good either. Updated to HCDB080824 and repaired a VC bomb 10-19 Thanks Herman! Click here to download this file

After Action Report: Hold Fast! A scenario by Patrick Howard (aka rainman) 'Hold Fast!' is a new HCE scenario for the EC2003 GIUK Battleset. I played the scenario using beta 2008.055. At game start, a Royal Navy carrier group (Task Force Cornwallis) was centred on the brand spanking new carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth, less than 100 nm south of Rockall. She was being escorted by the Type 45 destroyers HMS Defender and HMS Dragon, the Type 23 frigates HMS Westminster and HMS St Albans, the Type 22/3 frigate HMS Campbeltown, and the Royal Fleet Auxiliary tanker RFA Wave Ruler. The carrier air wing comprised eight F-35B Joint Strike Fighters, twenty GR.7 and GR.9 H…

After Action Report: Colombian Hat Dance A scenario by Mark Gellis 'Colombian Hat Dance' is a new HCE scenario for the new custom 'Caribbean Sea' Battleset. I played the scenario using beta 2008.050. My Mexican Navy (Armada de Mexico) task force was ordered to locate and destroy the terrorist base believed to be situate about 60 miles southwest of Juanchaco. As with much of its naval force, Task Force ABS consisted of elderly warships acquired from other nations, including the flagship Manuel Azueta (formerly the US Navy Edsall class destroyer escort USS Hurst), a pair of ex US Navy Knox class frigates – the Ignacio Allende (formerly the USS Stein) and the G…

hi all i'm seeking advice on how to do a particular scenario. the scenario i want to do is replicate (to a point) the movie Firefox, with Clint Eastwood. You, a secret agent have to steal the latest Russian superplane. I'm using the GIUK map, and have put in nearly all Russian, Czech, Romanian and Polish airfields. I've also put in 2 blue airfields, one in south-east Romania, and one in Greenland. The mission will be to get the superplane from Romania to Greenland without being destroyed (roughly 2500nm). Between you and Greenland will be the entire defence force of those countries. My problem is on the selection of the aircraft. I originally …

AAR: F-14 Fleet Defender V1.1 Battleset: HCE EC2003 NACV Source: F-14 Fleet Defender V1.1 - Harpgamer Author: Ralf Koelbach Contact: rkoelbach@yahoo.com Date of release: 08-Jan-2008 Date of play: Early-Mid July 2008 Synopsis: Ladies and Gentlemen, After success in V1.0, I set my sights on V1.1, which held the promise of an even greater challenge. I tried several times due to the fact it crashed repeatedly – normally towards the end. At game start time I found my main asset for this scenario - a 2*CV CVBG - about 450NM directly south of Iceland. Again, I had a strong suspicion that there would be Backfires – or at least Badgers – based there, and I sen…

I 've just built a Gulf of Tonkin BS using the BS Builder, and now I'm trying my hand at designing some scenarios to go with it. I have to fess up that scenario construction has never been one of my greater skills. What I would like to do is place some structures ashore, defend them with SAM Sites, land based interceptors, etc, and then attempt to attack and destroy the structures with a CV Air Strike. The problem I have is that structures, SAM sites, etc. do not appear in the initial loading of the scenario, and must be detected by other means. Since launching a strike against structures like this presupposes the location of the target is permanent and known and …

AAR: Minnows [spoiler Alert] A Harpoon Classic Commander's Edition scenario By Patrick Howard The time is the near future, and long simmering tensions between India and Pakistan have erupted. China has weighed-in by leasing one of its newer frigates to Pakistan as a trial - but it will be a trial by fire. India has unwisely chosen to attack our country. Critical wartime supplies are approaching Indian ports. As our naval forces are unlikely to prevail against overwhelming odds engaging the Indian navy directly, you are instructed to locate and destroy all commercial vessels approaching India. SITREP: The war is not going well for us so far. Air s…
