I can't get the page to load.

After a number of years away, I purchased the HUCE version and noted the WestPac scenarios are missing. I think I have to download another database and (maybe) the battleset? Confused as to how and where to install DB and potential battlesets, and if the install will allow just WestPac and no other of the newer HUCE included scenarios. Is it an all or nothing or when done w WestPac can I back off to the HUCE as downloaded list of battlesets? Thanks in advance for any assistance. Dukera

I seem to have developed a problem with HUCE. I hadn't played since mid december and when I tried to start a game this evening the launcher kept failing. A problem I've never experienced before. Every time I start to launch the game I get an error window with the message Printer EndDoc Failed. Has anyone seen this before or aware of a solution. The scenario editor also was unresponsive when attempting to launch. Any tips greatly appreciated.

Greeting all, I just upgraded our home PC to a WIN8, 32-Bit desktop platform. Before I reinstall HUCE, will it run and can I design scenarios on this new platform?

I run into this situation quite a bit, but fail to see why it is the way it is... so would someone please enlighten me? The situation is where an AI base that I wish to attack has had its radar knocked out, has no attached land AA/radar Units, and has no formation air patrols with active radar (as evidenced by the following: - The Report display for the Base says, "Other damage - Sensor" and Land Units: 0 - Friendly air groups having SEAD and AAM loadouts give the "No released weapons ... for Land attack" message when commanded to attack the base (thus implying that there are no active land-based radars and no formation air groups on the base). Okay I give up trying to continually adapt my new computer or components to run harpoon (classic, ultimate, etc). I am committed to a standalone old computer for just games like this. Can someone tell me the ideal old computer (hardware, software, video, etc to buy on some recycle site. Please be specific and if you know of sites that sell such complete systems, please add CAUSE I GIVE UP

What does the supply ships(like AOEs and AORs) and Landing Ships do in HCE?? Is it possible to have a Landing operation in HCE???

Hey: After playing the Ultimate edition a few times, I have come to one of two possible conclusions (somewhat related): 1) I suck or 2) The computer rocks. For example. 3 Flankers vs 6 Tornados. I'm protecting an E-3 and in no mood for playing so I let the Flankers have it: 9 SkyFlashes, or three per flanker on average. The flankers, being the argumentative buggers that they are, answer with four radar missiles themselves. Now to my mind, 3 missiles per aircraft is pretty good odds. Yet somehow the flankers get 100% hit rate and all bar one of my missiles miss, the flankers go off and retreat with a mission well done, drinking Vodka all the way back (no statist…

Well, I'm back! ANW has pissed me off, so I'm back looking closely at HCE. I've been playing around with the download section getting some of the battlesets that include the very nice textured maps some of which are very dark. The game icons blend right in and are in effect invisible. Is it possible to modify the icon colors to make them visible ? I think this needs urgent attention. Regards, RedMike...out

I'm interested if people know the 'in reality' situation, can some aero-tankers accept fuel from other tankers and if so which ones? While harpoon doesn't do this, if it occurs in reality then I can add the function to an 'advanced' refuel control (via an exportDLL library) the catch being that I'll need to include data within the dll regarding what can be refuelled. I'm guessing the likes of super hornets in tanker loadout would be able to refuel from larger tankers and thus provide a further top up for an accompanied strike group without the large vulnerable tanker going into contested air space.

I have this aching desire, recurring at the start of most HDS scenarios, to be able to set initial formations. I feel I should be able to rearrange my battlegroup, main body, ASW pickets, etc. freely at 0 time, under 0 time. In the real World the commander sets the formation soon after the BG leaves port. In the game I'm promoted to commander on the spot, just few minutes before the battle start. Ok, this happens, but not all the time. What aggravates this (for me) is that the previous commander has very different idea about ASW formations (if he had any at all ) I have only minimal control over the station keep speed of my ships. I've noticed that my inner AAW ring units just seem to cruise along at the set speed lately. I thought they were supposed to sprint & drift like the ASW ring. Are my wires crossed? Did this change recently or did I get this mixed up with H3? Can I will them to S&D if I stare real hard at the formation editor?

Its been a few years since I last played Harpoon and I've been itching to have a play, however I can't seem to find my install files. I purchased the Harpoon Classic Ultimate Edition from Matrix back when it was released should I be able to download it from somewhere?

I've been trying to get back into playing Harpoon, I have the Commanders Edition that I purchased in 2008 and I have my serial number however I am struggling to identify what I need to download to play, if I go into the Matrix Games account and go to downloads it seems to list some updates rather than the full install which I guess I need to then apply the updates, where can I get the initial installation setup file?

Hi first post. I had the urge to try HCE again after a long hiatus so logged into my Matrix account and download the two files (install & patch) but there seems to be a file size error in the downloaded files. I have the orginal HCE cd but I dont have a cdrom drive in a pc near me. Have I done something wrong?

I just bought a new computer (AMD Phenom II X6 1100T 3.30 GHz, 8 GB RAM, 64-bit Win 7 Pro SP1). When I re-installed HUCE, it seemed to install cleanly. However, when I go to play the game, I run into a problem. I can double click the desktop icon, and that gives me the User Account Control warning screen asking if I want to allow the program to make changes to my system. I tell it yes, and get the Play HUCE box. I select '20 Years of Commanders Edition', and that gets me 'choose version' box. At this point, clicking on any of the versions except 'Harpoon CE' brings up that version of the game, no problem. Unfortunately, clicking on 'Harpoon CE' does absolutely nothing. If…

Hi guys, installing HUCE right now. After all the updates from the Matrix Games server, what should I update? There are various DB's here... a bit confused. I'd like to play the scenarios which come with HUCE. So there is one DB I shall download for an update? Perhaps I've tortured users well enough the last 12 years that Instant Action has been enabled by default. Is it time to flip that position and have it disabled by default? That would mean you get to select a BattleSet and scenario every time you fire up the game instead of being taking to a random scenario.
