October 25, 201015 yr Thanks for the odd Spanish DDs. Also for the P-1000 Vulkan SSM, I've finded it some time ago referencied at http://www.testpilot.ru/russia/chelomei/p/1000/index.htm
November 21, 201015 yr Would it be possible to have a Royal Navy version of the F-35C Joint Strike Fighter as it seems that at least one of the QE Class vessels will be CATOBAR for the F-35C. I know we have a generic International Version but one with British loadouts for example Storm Shadow and the Meteor AAM would be great.

Hear hear! I'd like one of them as well please!

Playing Donaldseadog´s "Hold on Diego Garcia" I´ve the F-35B JSF (RN); loadout Precis-LR is Storm Shadow and Meteor for AAW. So Brad has already inserted this one. Or are you thinking of another variant? Regards, Ralf

November 22, 201015 yr Don't think I haven't been giving this some thought since the SDSR. Though perhaps I should be just deleting all British platforms rather than adding them? Just kidding. I will have a look at a British F-35C in due course, though I will note that in the Lockheed Martin JSF contract awarded a few days ago, there was mention of a single Royal Navy F-35B being covered in the contract.
November 22, 201015 yr The main draw of the F-35C over the STOVL F-35B is the longer range, thats why I'd like it added!!
November 29, 201015 yr I ran across a shelved concept for an FB-22 fighter bomber. Longer range, larger payload than F-22. Would not mind having one of those to experiment with, this would be a great base killer. Here is the link http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/sys...craft/fb-22.htm

The FB-22 is a pretty cool platform, no doubt, but unfortunately its entirely hypothetical and given the limited space in the Loadouts Annex, it doesn't meet the test for addition to the HCDB. IIRC, I did add it to Tony's Fictional DB, but I cannot recall for sure. If not, its a definite candidate there.
December 13, 201015 yr Thanks for the correction about my previous post regarding the SU-33, I'll try to be one less cat to herd in the future. Here's my heart's desires, useful for some stuff I have in mind. 1) I fully agree with reducing generally the # of AAW weapons for the SU-33, and having a greater range penalty paid for heavier loads. 2) I would be happy if the ASuW loadouts were more in keeping with the limited abilities of this aircraft, using shorter range ordnance. A SEAD loadout (oftem mentioned, never funded) could help offset this shortcoming and give scenario designers some interesting possibilities. 3) a Chinese PLAN SU-33, or MiG 29, (your choice) with more contemporary weapons and sensors, and warloads consistent with catapult launch. This will be handy in future projects involving Chinese interactions with regional neighbors. 4) A "Budget" carrier aircraft for countries such as India or Brazil. The Sea Gripen idea comes to mind, this A/C just needs a "carrier" flag. Revisiting the MiG-29D might be helpful as well. 5) Speaking generally- the more loadout decisions have real consequences, the more interesting scenario design and play becomes. Sacrificing AAW weapons for "mud moving" stuff in each loadout adds complexity and challenge to the game. (Admiral Nagumo at Midway comes to mind). I'd like to see a trend towards the 3.1 days, when if you want to bomb someone, you'll have to organize a fighter escort. 6) THANKS.
December 13, 201015 yr Okay, here's what I have done (and which will appear in the next update): The existing Su-33 entry has been reworked to reflect the upgraded Su-33M. Two new entries have been added to reflect the (very) basic Su-33 and a hypothetical Su-33MK for the Chinese. Still no air to mud stuff, but the loadouts have been revamped generally and I have added antiship and anti-radar flavours of the AS-17 Krypton (Kh-31A/P).
December 13, 201015 yr Ahh- crappy radars, lame AAW weapons, the formerly fearsome AA-11 neutered- I LOVE these new Flankers! Let's be aware that this is a game changer for many older scenarios. I'll have some of these for you to drive around against impossible odds soon. Thanks Brad!

I'll have some of these for you to drive around against impossible odds soon. Thanks Brad! Thanks for the chuckle. I purposely translated the pre-existing Su-33 entry into the more advanced Su-33M so there would be minimal impact on older scenarios. Any possibility of the RQ-170 Sentinel going in the DB? Absolutely, but lacking really decent data right now. Anything you can dig up would of course be appreciated.
