  1. Its been a few years since I last played Harpoon and I've been itching to have a play, however I can't seem to find my install files. I purchased the Harpoon Classic Ultimate Edition from Matrix back when it was released should I be able to download it from somewhere?
  2. I've not had much chance to play it yet but I bought it - got a money off code for helping with beta testing, its very promising and I'm looking forward to getting some proper time to play it!
  3. BBC News: Govt U-Turn over Fighter Planes BBC Reporting that the UK Government has now agreed to switch back to the F-35B variant of the JSF.
  4. Massive Blaze On Russian Nuclear Submarine
  5. Liam Fox resigns as Defence Secretary BBC - Liam Fox Resigns Sad to see him go, he seems to finally be a Defence Secretary on the side of the military instead of the Treasury..... wonder what clown we'll get next.
  6. Rebels now in Tripoli and Al Jazeera reporting that Gaddafi's security brigade have surrendered, looks like it could be over tonight.
  7. Hopefully the military campaign will soon be over and Gaddafi will be gone, although I'm slightly nervous that an ending of the NATO operation in Libya might spur Sarkozy and Cameron to think intervention in Syria would be a good idea.....
  8. There was another one on the same theme called How to Command A Nuclear Submarine - pretty good, that. Just had a look at the trailer for How to Command a Nuclear Submarine on the History Channel website its actually the same programme as "Submarine School" just a different name. Ah, wondered if that was so. There should be more TV shows about the Navy!
  9. There was another one on the same theme called How to Command A Nuclear Submarine - pretty good, that. Just had a look at the trailer for How to Command a Nuclear Submarine on the History Channel website its actually the same programme as "Submarine School" just a different name.
  10. Warship was probably the most recent UK series and I really liked it although wish they'd release it on DVD! Also been watching Submarine School the last few days where they are showing 6 officers taking part in the infamous "Perisher" command training course on board HMS Triumph!
  11. Says the Argentine military command when their airbases get levelled by Tomahawks. It doesn't really seem that the US wants to send a carrier battle group their. What would we gain for our efforts? Just let it and the oil go, lick your wounds and move on. Could you really say that this would be a loss for the UK? We got our clocks rung in Mogidishu, we shed some tears for our losses and we got on with life. I think the UK is more embarrassed by being schooled by what they thought was an inferior military. Argentinas 2011 military budget is 4 billion dollars compared to the UK's 57 billion. Thats Pee Wee Herman slappin Mike Tyson around. I don't think its got anything to do with being embarrassed by an inferior military its about ensuring sovereignty of a British territory, you let the Falklands go without and fight and you've got Gibraltar looking nervously at Spain.....
  12. Em........ ones in bits in Turkey, another is laid up on the South Coast somewhere are on the defence equivalent of Ebay and the other is in refit...... and we just sold the planes that fly off them to the Yanks anyway!!! And our 2 new ones are also still in bits.......
  13. Britain a "crude colonial power in decline" says Argentine President Tension brewing in the South Atlantic?
  14. BBC reporting escalating row between China and Vietnam in the South China Sea China 'cable' cutting angers Vietnam in Spratlys row
  15. British media reporting the HMS Triumph is the Trafalgar class submarine involved.
  16. She was at Souda Bay on 7 March, according to Navy News Service. Information Dissemination had this article on 2 March regarding what ships were in the area. Reports that there is currently one British ship which is part of the naval force off the coast believed to be the Type 23 frigate HMS Westminster so I suppose that HMS York and HMS Cumberland are still in Malta.
  17. Its almost funny how different Libyan State TV is reporting events compared to watching Western News Media, now Libyan TV is reporting they've shot a French Plane down over Tripoli.
  18. Reading elsewhere that there are possibly two Burkes along with USS Scranton and USS Providence alongside the SSGN Florida in the Med.
  19. Wonder which of the UK Submarines is in the region..? Is this the first usage of the US SSGN in combat?
  20. Just read this quoted in a UK paper: "The US Navy has three submarines flanked by two Navy ships that are stationed in the Mediterranean and ready to join the operation. The submarines are fitted with Tomahawk missiles, which are effective against aircraft." Tomahawks effective against aircraft? Where do these people get their information!
  21. Reports via Sky that 11 RAF Tornadoes have arrived in Cyprus.
  22. Again via the BBC, French TV reporting that French jets are over Benghazi enforcing a no-fly zone.
  23. Following up the Canadian Jets, Prestwick Airport confirm that US Military Aircraft have landed there to refuel (from BBC)
  24. Reports via the BBC that two Tornado's have left RAF Lossiemouth in Scotland and also that two have landed at RAF Marham, possibly the same two but it seems that UK forces are now on the move.
