Harpoon in New Windows 10 PC
Aside, for me Windows 10 is OK, but on his Edge net navigator sometimes is very difficult to answer in the Harpgamer forum , and I'm forced to go to Chrome.

Uffff... I don't compart that experience, but I fear anytime I can be on it, perhaps we need a clearer installation routine.

Russian Intervention in Syria
one day after the SS-N-30/3M14 cruise missile attack the Russian Wikipedia keep his range as 300 Km/162 nm, as opposed to the reflected in the news reports some 2600 Km/1404 nm: https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%9A%D0%B0%D0%BB%D0%B8%D0%B1%D1%80_(%D0%BA%D1%80%D1%8B%D0%BB%D0%B0%D1%82%D1%8B%D0%B5_%D1%80%D0%B0%D0%BA%D0%B5%D1%82%D1%8B) The English Wikipedia keeps the intelligence estimated range of 2500 Km/1350 nm.

Scenarios built with HCE 2015.008+
Scenarios created with newer versions of the SE (HCE 2015.008+), such as this one, are not going to run on the old GE. I think we should mark the new scenarios as suitable or not for HCE 2015.008+ or previous versions (I'm not yet building any scenario with the new GE and SE, only finishing previously started scenarios).

Requests for the HCDB (Official DB of HCE) and HCDB2
Yeah, I'm checking some Chinese elements previously to play Tesseract, hehe (as I did say, I regret I did not keep notes on Chinese HCDB doubts some time ago). I see loadout 56789 ASuW for J-11B, J-11D and J-16 Flying Shark is equipped with 19046 KD-88 missile (only DB use of KD-88). But KD-88 is a land attack missile, not an anti-ship missile (In the HCDB at least is configured with the anti-ship flag), I think we should replace KD-88 with true anti-ship air-launched YJ-82/C802K variant of entry 18678 CSS-N-8 Saccade (C802) (also designated apparently C802/CSS-N-8 Saccade/Noor/Koor ). KD-88 is perhaps only employed by JH-7A. But of course the Chinese missile designations and true type are yet something confuse (and from some months ago sinodefence.com and Chinese Wikipedia have deleted the old articles on modern Chinese weapon systems): http://errymath.blogspot.com/2014/04/kd-63yj-63-and-kd-88yj-83k-air-launched.html#.Vg_2Xvntmko https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C-802 http://chinese-military-aviation.blogspot.com.es/p/missiles-ii.html(were is included a note of KD-88 as suitable of anti-ship use!). http://www.ausairpower.net/APA-PLA-Cruise-Missiles.html#mozTocId689888(also Dr. Kopp considers the use of KD-88 as anti-ship missile). Not directly related, but interesting page: http://www.ausairpower.net/APA-PLA-GBU.html#mozTocId819429

Requests for the HCDB (Official DB of HCE) and HCDB2
I see missile entry 18746 PL-8 in HCDB has the flags "Semi-active guidance" and "radar guided", when is clearly a short range IR guided dogfight missile based on Python 3. The flags should be changed to "Dogfight" and "IR/Laser guidance" (probably detected it years ago, but I did modify it on my personal use DB and forgot about the issue!). Also, PL-8 (from 2005 only in use the PL-5B variant?) is the usual Chinese short range AAM, not PL-9, PL-9 is mainly for export. http://chinese-military-aviation.blogspot.com.es/p/missiles-i.html http://www.ausairpower.net/APA-PLA-AAM.html

Ideas for helping AI
I think Rainman means the AI should quit to have that behaviour, and don't go with active radar (or sonar) automatically at first (or nimble) contact.

Ideas for helping AI
After a new surface contact I wait a while to see the almost complete enemy force disposition, and only after to arrange any attack to selected target. The problem is in the same situation the AI fires almost everything at the first contact, instantly, and depleted his magazines against a single enemy ship.

The HCE Americas (HCDA) Database
As result of working in South Georgia 1982 scenario some HCDA detected errours: - Aircraft entry 10521 Gazelle helicopter lacks the carrier capable flag (I was forced to use Scout). - Ship entry 2520 Cordella (employed as auxiliary minesweepers) has minesweeping gear but lacks any sonar sensor. Also is classified as LSM, I think it should be MSM.

Ideas for helping AI
Oh, my idea of 5-10 minutes time-lapse did come because I was thinking in the detection by part of the AI of one of our warships groups, i.e., as when the recce plane detects a single ship, but some few minutes after detects other enemy ships in the same formation. I was not thinking of air-to-air interception, perhaps we need two algoritms in the AI for that, one faster than other (the faster for incoming aerial targets). Perhaps two different algoritms one for sea targets and other for air targets is too complicated.
-
Ideas for helping AI
Perhaps a very simply mechanism, like force the AI to retain fire by 5-10 minutes? (and in this time-lapse probably had detect more targets?) Another iteration, the retain fire time-lapse randomly variable, or customizable. And if the AI order to open fire is time-randomized you will experiment the thrill to wait for when the AI will open fire against you! Another variation, the AI order of open fire or not could be also a random variable or customizable (but I think my first two ideas are better and easier to implement).
