Scenario Design & Discussion

I would like to create a Harpoon scenario in the near future and would like to include one of my favourite fictional aircraft, the MiG-31 "Firefox" from the Craig Thomas novel. Possibles: * A carrier strike * A land mission * An AAW battle with a US version. Maybe 20 on each side. Thoughts?

Hi Tony, for rewriting and expanding my Pason-battleset (for HUD 3) I use your tool H3dsdedit - great one! I´ve got two questions related to that: 1. Is it possible to edit an existing dsd-file? 2. Is it possible to extract the text from a dsd-file an copy in (using H3dsdedit) into a new dsd-file? tia Ralf

I'm a prior Harp Classic player who recently purchased ANW. I've got myself updated on almost everything but feel like I'm really missing something when it comes to Bases when creating or edit scenarios with the editor. The documentation for the ScenEditor is really poor. 1. It appears there is no list of "most commonly used" bases, such as Keflavik or Kinloss in GUIK scenarios. Is this correct? I noticed that the Installations list just shows "file not supported". 2. I have successfully created bases for a starter GUIK map. However I don't see how to rename them from "BASE" to what they actually represent. How do you rename? 3. Is there a way to EXP…

Quick question... If I add an ammo dump to an airfield, and want to use Aircraft Logistics, can I modify what is in a particular ammo dump? For example, could I take out all the Harpoons from a US ammo dump ("Sorry, we used them all...you'll have to rely on iron bombs!")? Or add other kinds of ammunition? If so, how do you do this? (I mean in a particular scenario, like editing the number of aircraft at a base...I do NOT want to be messing around with the actual database...that way, I am sure, tragedy lies...) I'm suddenly having the devil's own time making boarding/takeover missions work. I designed a small Persian Gulf scenario loosely based on one we used when I worked in Saudi Arabia at the Multi Environmental Trainer. When I originally built the scenario, I was able to launch a CH-53 loaded with Marines from my airfield and capture an enemy comm center and a UH1 Iriquois from a Medina class FF to board and take over an enemy tanker. After applying some update or other somewhere along the line, I lost the scenario and had to redo it. Okay, here is my newest attempt at an H3 scenario. Basically, Chile is ticked off at people using their fisheries and decides to shoot up some fishing boats; Japan sends warships to protect their trawlers, and it's not long before things head south. Evening lads, I've attached a new scenario with a new version of the ANWDB for anyone who wants to test it. This is based on the current uprising in Libya and is based on the assumption that the town of Misurata has been captured by Gadaffi troops. Any and all feedback on this is greatly appreciated. Hello, I have completed 5 scenarios for ANW and I am looking for players to test them. They were designed using v3.9.4 and they use the ANW DB and I have uploaded the DB and scens in separate ZIP files to this thread. If you have the time, please download them and let me know what you think. They all have an emphasis on surface warfare. I am looking for balance and ease of play, and anything else you might think is worthy of comment. Friends, I've been playing around with some concepts for H3 scenarios. As I want to keep them at least quasi-believable, I would be grateful if fellow board members would give me some feedback on them. This can be a simple "rating" (e.g., "Definitely possible," "Possible but unlikely," or "No, that's a silly idea") although any other comments would also be very welcome.
