Hello, I'm new to Harpoon 3ANW, I have the players DB and have successfully set up a multiplayer test game in the AoA server. Would anyone be interested in totally destroying this newbie sometime soon? I am in the Pacific Time Zone(USA). Server doesn't have to be AoA, just let me know which server you prefer and the name or ip and we can hook up as our schedules allow. thank you!

Hi Tony and Brad, is it possible that you create a new subsection "Battlesets" (like it exists in the HC section) in the H2/H3 download area? I would like to store battlesets there. thx in advanace, Ralf

OK....call me stupid....I don't mind, but I have had one helluva time trying to use Harpoon3 v. 3.6.2. I purchased and downloaded what I thought was 3.6.3. Well, after the download I noticed it was 3.6.2. (Buyer Beware I guess). So, After a couple of plays with 3.6.2 to get back into the swing of things, I downloaded DB2000 so I can add and play the new community scenarios. Well, I did follow the simple directions of updating and replacing the database and started having problems from the get go......especially with aircraft. I just decided to dust off my H3 ANW, but first I need to update it with all the latest patches. The problem is, as I enter the download section of Matrix Games website, I can see like 4 updates since my version (3.9.0.) So my question is, which patches do I need to download, and which already contain previous patches. Or do I need to download and install all of them?

I was looking through my new copy of PcPowerplay and Australian pc gaming magazine, and noted a "hardcore" gaming article. Of course, my first thought was "If they don't have Harpoon then it's not hardcore". Well blow me down if they didn't have part of the article on Harpoon 3. Harpoon 3 Article. Ok, I'm slumming around the harpoon sites and come across the link to buy Harpoon 3 for Mac OS X intel and it's version 3.6.2. I realize it's only community supported but I can't find the community. Is this the right place to start one?

Hello, I have just downloaded the latest version of the Players Data Base for Harpoon ANW Version 3.9. It seems to run quite well but I do have a couple of questions. 1) How do I change the ratio of longitide to Latitude on the scenarios maps. Some maps , upon intial loading are so distorted as to be un playable. I looked all over for the settings to correct this - but so far have found nothing. Can you help pls? 2) When one downloads the the complete Players Data Base where are all the new scenarios located? I can find all the old ones but not the new ones- I may be looking in the wrong place. Thank you allans

Which platforms do you really dislike coming up against in this game? For me: * Tu-22M "Backfire". They are scary aircraft.

Hi All, I'd like to take this opportunity to make an offer to the H3ANW community at large and offer to confirm and attempt to get resolution for any issues players are having with H3ANW. Hello, I´m trying to set up my LAN-connected PCs for a MP session. Haven´t done it for along time, so probably I´ve forgotten something. On the client PC I always get the message "Waiting for server to respond". The settings so far: - GE 3.8.0 release version on both PCs - should work - or not? - PCs connected via LAN; no problem with the network - IPs set manually do work in all other cases. Maybe I´ve chosen the wrong port? Tested it with 14342 ODB db on both machines. My "network boot sequence": 1. Started the server on one PC 2. Started the client on this PC 3. Started the client on the client PC Any clues? tia

Hi, I am a casual pc player (play once in two weeks or so) and have harpoon 3 v. 3.6.3 on my pc. I really enjoyed it. So, to contribute to further devlopment, I want to buy some newer version of harpoon. Do you think that buying ANW will be rational, since I am not sure if I will see some real improvements when I convert from 3.6.3 to ANW. Some even say that it would be one step backwards, because of the bugs. If that is the situation, I will purchase HCCE, but I am not sure if I want an operational naval game, instead of a tactical one. Any suggestions?
