While I was trying to break the SAM ROF this morning I came across something else of interest, so I experimented with it a bit too. The test scenario I was using for the SAM ROF consisted of AS-4 Kitchens being fired at a naval surface target. I couldn't get my CIWS/guns to fire at them during point defense. Initial database configuration: Phalanx - max alt = low and min alt = vlow AS-4 - max alt = vhigh and min alt = vhigh Altered database configuration: Changed Phalanx max alt from low to vhigh and now they do engage in point defense. I used various versions some years ago, finishing on Classic and W98. One of the problems was non re-sizable windows; ridiculously small on a large screen (1600x1200, or better). (Current hardware is twin core Athlon running XP.) So far as I can tell the main difference between the two versions is single user v multi-user. I expect mainly single user, but for the small price difference multi-user would be nice if there were no penalties or 'gotchas'. Is there any compelling reason to choose one or the other? Can old battlesets and scenarios be updated for use with either version?; or does one merely download new versions? Am I right in thinking that there…

Hi all I have Hapoon 97 and have played it for years and love it(crashes every now and then but I set the auto save to every 5 min so I don't loose much which files can I use if any to add scenarios to play I also have Harpoon 3 ANW I just don't like the look compared to 97 is there anything I can do? Hello. I'm in search of Harpoon v1.2 for the old Three-Sixty Computer Harpoon. My research is indicating it was released by disk directly from Three-Sixty by request of v1.1 game owners and not "released" per say with and add-on products like v1.1 (original release) or v1.3+. Hello, played some Harpoon Classic (1.58E) and noticed that the rings look like ellipses with the y axis being longer than the x axis. Is this intended or a bug? H3 suffers from the same effect and I wonder why. I'm playing with 4:3 screen. Can I fix this somehow? Greetings, Cabal

Hello, I am new to harpoon and looking for some kind of beginners guide. I've been playing and figuring most of it out for myself, but wondering if there's some type of beginners guide to understand the basics and fundamental things I may be missing. I've read the tactics 101 and it helped some, but I'm looking for a guide covering all the basics of the game so I can enjoy the game fully. Thank you very much for any help

Short question: do Official Strategy Guides come with any Harpoon releases? Or I need to catch them separately?

Any idea where to get a copy of it?, is it worth? As far as I know there are only hardcopies.

Hi everybody, I'm trying to reinstall my old HC on my new PC, but I don't seem to remember well the steps to have the whole thing working. I installed it by the hcgold_full.exe installer, but now I cannot use the EC2003 default battleset, since I receive the message the the game can only be played by the registered COMMONDB version. I have my serial number and the key Bruce sent me in the old days, but the registration seems ininfluent for the game. I can actually play the other default Battleset. Can someone help me with some advice? My HC version is the 2003.15, Dec 19, 2003 (release) Thank you Francesco Cozzi

I have a copy of Harpoon classic Gold, which I purchased on line from AGSI. It was a online download. I have the file hcgold_full.exe and the harpoonkey.txt files. After I do the install and try to register, I get an error message, invalid serial number, will run in demo mode. Hi All, I've managed to get my hands on an original Harpoon Classic disc dated 1994. After much toing and froing I've managed to get it to play on my (was just about to throw out) Win XP doorwedge netbook. Possibly a bone question, Can I update this edition with files from harp gamer? It's fully working on my netbook, but I have absolutely no idea about going into the nuts and bolts of programs. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Harpoon Classic Since Update. My dad has been playing harpoon and noticed there was a problem in the beta update when he was playing, but bare in mind he is running this game in vista. In this picture there are some icons missing for the range and aircraft patrols for the formation editor. will there be a patch that can fix this problem? or would he have to go back to the earlier version before the patch? Hello, Has anyone had any UCE game freezes this week? I am running off an I3 / Win 7 Machine with ample hard drive space and 4GB of memory. I play UCE almost daily, but after the last Windows Update UCE freezes the moment I launch a game. Any ideas? Cheers
