Replenishment At Sea
This does involve replenishment; maybe it doesn't belong here, but..... I played a Baltic Sea scenario a while ago where my missile boats launched all their missiles. I sent them back to port where I figured they'd be rearmed, just like an aircraft at an airfield. They weren't. So, don't forget replenishment on land, too.

After spending a lot of fruitless time waiting for some Red fratricide last night, I thought of taking the Slava and surrounding it with assorted ships and letting it find a Blue sacrificial unit. I haven't been able to run this test scenario yet. Akula, please write and run yours in the meantime - I'll pack for vacation instead.

When you draw me those pictures, use lots of pretty colored crayons so I can hang them next to my Horsey and my Puppy drawings, because I can't get this to work like it says. What I did get was a Message Log that shows that within the 0:19:36 Time Remaining period, Goas were shooting down Sandboxes and a Sandbox hit and sank a Red ship. I also have a GE log of this game with a lot of ECM data that I don't know how to interpret. Based on the Red ship being sunk by Red missiles, though, I'd guess this still isn't fixed. Logs.zip

Our part in the 20th Anniversary of Harpoon
I know it runs on XP, but I couldn't get it to run in Vista. I'll have to look into it. I was just wondering how many younger guys own the DOS version or have even seen it running.

Funny this should come up.... I was just thinking about filming the gameplay of "Dawn Patrol" in the original DOS version from 360 Pacific as a curiosity. Would this do?

- Chg:B046 GE Hornets with Decoy loadouts will now prompt the player to close range in order to attack instead of ignoring the attack order. (thanks Herman) http://harpgamer.com/harpforum/index.php?a...&showbug=46 This isn't exactly fixed. Running the saved game with beta .023, ordering the Hornets to attack the surface target will first trigger the "No weapons available for ASuW attack", then bring up the "Attack Range /Target Range/Attack?" dialog. The order is not ignored, though.

- Chg:0099 I think I got it. 1) Run my test program INTTEST2 in EC2003 GIUK at 1 second compression. 2) Launch 4 F4S on a Ferry mission to ABa. 3) Launch the E3 to Patrol due north of ABa to the edge of the red AA circle. 4) Launch 4 F16C/D Block 30/32 to Patrol midway between Red ZZb and ZYb. 5) Light up everybody's air and surface search radars and go to 5 second compression. 6) When the Red helos show up, click the 4 F16s and get the "Group AEA clicked outside of select Group dialog" message. 7) Click either Red helo. It is unselectable with the "No Group was clicked" message. The Screenshot shows after clicking Red Helo ZSH. INTTEST2.zip

- Chg:0099 GE Added debug logging to help track down the occasional problem of not being able to click on the map to select an enemy group for attack. The various messages are... 1) Group YWp clicked outside of select Group dialog 2) Group ZCS clicked inside of select Group dialog 3) Group AGU clicked but not valid for this operation 4) No Group was clicked When launching an LR attack, 2) is the proper message and should result in the enemy group being selected. 1) you should get when clicking on a group to give orders. 3) should happen when you are launching a LR attack and click on a friendly group. 4) is pretty self explanatory and will happen in many situations. We're interested in hearing what result you get when the map clicking becomes unresponsive, rather than 2), what happens? http://harpgamer.com/harpforum/index.php?a...&showbug=99 The various messages show up as stated, but this is still an elusive bug. Everytime I have it happen and try to save it, the save refuses to repeat the problem. What I've seen so far is that a non-response from the map triggers Answer #4. I'm going to play with my test scenario and see if I can consistently trigger it.

- Chg:0000 GE When prompted to choose a group to land at, highlight the home base of the first plane in the air group by default if the home base still exists. (thanks Akula and others) Sort of fixed in .023. I launched a Ferry mission that discovered armor along the way. Up to that point, Land Aircraft sent me to the original base. After I attacked the armor, Land Aircraft selected the Ferry base. Saved game "Ferry" shows ACA from AAa en route to ABa, before discovering the enemy armor. A minor inconvienence, whatever OS it is. 2009.022 Release Notes
OK, might not be SO urgent. All other aircraft options (Attack, Patrol, and Intercept) work as they should. It's only the Ferry choice that crashes the program. On the brighter side, all the other fixes work as advertised, but until the problem above is repaired, I don't want to confirm them as fixed. I hope this isn't a just @#$&* Vista-related problem!

URGENT! Something about this beta is causing White Screen Of Death in Vista. If I click on any airbase in any battleset and try to Ferry aircraft, I get the Main Executable Stop Working message. I'm going back to see what else triggers this. I've included my small test scenario to work with. INTTEST2.zip

I played the first scenario. According to the Victory Conditions, I lost, but I was very happy to get a half-wrecked carrier to a half-wrecked base. Without giving too much away to everyone else, the words "Malta Convoy" spring to mind. Thanks, and I'll try the rest when I work up the courage. Larry Gertner
