Hi Mark, I´ll test it this weekend. What about finishing all your H3 scens written so far and post them as a battleset?

Mark, I´m through. Only a draw because I didn´t find/sink the hostile sub. All in all a well-rounded scenario. Some more hints: - Shield the two hostile vessels with CAP as good as posiible = give the AI better defending chanes - Name the bases if they are really representig real bases with their exact location

Don, the H3 versions 3.7 onwards up to the current 3.10 are called ANW, 3.10 itself is called UE ANW. These newer series has a lot of nice new features like ship-to-ship UnRep, boarding & takeover, chained missions. The older lines up to 3.6.3 do indeed run much faster and I, too, am convined taht the AI is meaner than the ANW one. In addition to that there are some more or less weird behaviours (still) in ANW, which 3.6.3 doesn´t have. So if you are looking for the version which is most aggressive and has less bugs/weird behaviours; your choice is 3.6.3. Regards, Ralf

Don, ANW DB as well as HUD 3 is only for the ANW/HUE versions of Harpoon 3; this means from 3.7 onwards. They don´t work with the versions up to 3.6.3. For 3.6.3, which is bundled with HUE, use the in-built Standard database or for example the db2000 or HUD 2. Regards, Ralf

The owners of this wonderful Harpoon site are doing a marvelous job. While this site has always been the most important website for anything related to Harpoon Classic, it is now rapidly evolving into the most important site for all versions of Harpoon. Many of the mainly H2/H3/H3 ANW/HUE focused pooners of the old guard - like Dale, Darren and myself - found a nice place to work and discuss here. A few hours later... I got the second hostile vessel with Aurora launched Harpoons. All the time my task force and the Hornets are very hard pressed to defend against hostile fighter bombers. The main job now is a) to take back the task force in order to prevent it for future operations and to find and sink the hostile sub. This scenario is really fascinating. So few units, so much in it.

Mark, playing right now and really having fun here. Aircraft Logistics works as intended; in the previous test run I had forgotten to check the box. The scenario is a typical Mark Gellis fine arts one So far I´ve sunk one hostile vessel and a few aircraft, but one of my ships was pounded and damaged 20%. Being too ambitious I downed a civilian 757-200 Looking forward to finish it; then I´ll give a summary. btw Mark: You´ve started three wonderful nice little scens; don´t forget to finish and release them. Mark, Weird...all I did was add a US ammo depot (didn't want to mess with a generic one) to the airfield installation and when I open up the scenario editor, it tells me I have enough for 82 sorties with the ATA loadout for the Canadian F-18s. \ Hmmm...I did not rebuild the scenario for the Jan. 2011 version of the HUD3 until I read your message...when I did so, it changed the number of sorties available to 90. (In fact, I could not run the scenario until I used the rebuild functions. I will have to keep that in mind when I write other scenarios.) And then when I did run it, it says I have 98 sorties available. Go figure. Weird. IIRC this sortie rate mismatch is a known ANW bug. The game engine and the scenario editor calculate differently. Not nice, but not game killing, either. For me, the question remains, why I got unlimited loadouts. I´ll play the scen today and look once more at it, maybe I forgot to check the aircraft logistics on box. Regards, Ralf
