  1. April 9, 2013: minor scenario edition, a secondary single ship group now has added course and speed, previously without course neither speed by error.
  2. Downloaded the other day but not yet tested, thumbs up!
  3. Some nuclear torpedoes were intented for ASW use, as the US Mk45. Other for anti-surface, as the Soviet submarines in the Cuban Missile Crisis. About the use against ports or harbors, the preliminary design of the Soviet SSN November class included a monstruous 15 meters long torpedo for this use, but his development was discontined because a target analysis determined only two suitables ports in the World to use against!
  4. No, it's clear no. The problem was in some update DigMilArt was downloaded. Don't mean on it, I will rename the files. Thanks.
  5. I was not convienced about the Buccaneer's Blue Parrot radar range of only 25 nm, when older SS search radars have a far superior range. If we accept as valid this text, we can change his range to 180 nm for the Buccaneer S.1: http://www.apss.org.uk/projects/APSS_projects/radar/Ferranti%20Radar%20Collection/Blue%20Parrot/Ferranti%20and%20the%20Buccaneer%20S1%20Weapon%20Delivery%20System.pdf And some 190-240 nm range for the Buccaneer S.2/50: http://www.apss.org.uk/projects/APSS_projects/radar/Ferranti%20Radar%20Collection/Blue%20Parrot/The%20Avionics%20Story.pdf The more complete reference page: http://www.apss.org.uk/projects/APSS_projects/radar/Ferranti%20Radar%20Collection/
  6. Thanks by the explanation, Mavfin, I will see it when I've a little spare time ...
  7. Clearly you should use the last DB, it's fixed and almost definitive because space limitations, and it has almost all the major platforms in the 1980-2015 time period. The World Wars and Cold War database lack yet some important platforms (as landing ships in the HCWW or many plane types in the HCCW). http://harpgamer.com/harpforum/index.php?/files/file/235-hcdb-120621-1980-2015-era/ For a long time ago when I design and test (usually intensive testing) my scenarios I've not noticied neutrals reporting the other side, and I use a lot of neutral "merchants" and "biological" submarines. Edited correct name of DBs and time period.
  8. Yes, some scenarios orders say about not change loadouts in the planes, as example.
  9. I use HCE, not Ultimate, but I think it comes with one of the last mods. The DigMilArt window was created, but not subdirectories or files.
  10. Ehh, no, none. Neither DigMilArt subdirectory ....
  11. I doubt very much the GE can support this changes. A very interesting book with data about US carriers ammo and other stuff carring capacity is "US Aircraft Carriers, An Illustrated Design History", by Norman Friedman, Naval Institute Press (1983). http://www.amazon.com/U-S-Aircraft-Carriers-Illustrated-History/dp/0870217399
  12. I ever get the message "image file does not exist XXXX.jpg"
  13. Sometimes in the DB SAM SSM capables are not flagged as SSM capables to avoid the AI depleted it against secondary surface taegets
  14. April 6, 2013, change: erroneous "Historicial Scenario" tag replaced by correct "Historical Scenario" tag.
  15. Simple and fascinating: http://es.scribd.com/doc/119476487/Utility-Flight-Hb-1-Mar-1959
  16. With 2 days 9 hours play time to go, I saw in the status report I've sunked 5 red warships (correct) and damaged 4 (I've only detected to this momento the 5 sunked ships). Use the cheat mode and constate the red damages ships, incluiding Admiral Kutznetsov and Admiral Gorkhov, are grounded in the Iceland East Coast, a little dissapointing constatation ...
  17. A curious site with a lot of cruise books. Perousing in the commisioning or cruise books you can sometimes find valuable or unknown data, but regrettably very few times (Recently I saw in a commisioning book of HMS Eagle she was equipped with a multipurpose Sonar 184 (also for torpedo avoidance) from the 1964 refit, and I suppose also HMS Ark Royal from the 1964 refit). These sonars are not listed in any database, and probably them were previously equipped with Sonar 132 or other passive torpedo avoidance sonar, as the other big British warships. http://www.axfordsabode.org.uk/comishbk.htm As example http://www.axfordsabode.org.uk/pdf-docs/arkroy10.pdf were we can see the displacements and Beira Patrols of HMS Ark Royal The mention to the Sonar 184 in HMS Eagle (page 7): http://www.axfordsabode.org.uk/pdf-docs/eagle11.pdf
  18. Apparently a little more serious than other Russian sites, including fighter bases. Also, I almost don't feel as strange to brownse in Russian sites easily without known Russian language (And my region in Spain is full of Russian inmigrants, it's usual for me to hear Russian daily, and it's a sweet tongue, perhaps some day I would understand it ...): http://tu-128.ru/
  19. Another basic issue I don't see very clear in this topic: Usual DATA is the reflected in the DB Example: F-16C/D Blk50/52 CCIP, entry #10415 ATA=45 DATA=25 with the loadouts: #55899 Intercept, DATA=45 (the same value as basic ATA value). #55888 to 55894, with air-to-ground ordnance, DATA=25 (the same value as basic DATA value). In case the F-16 is with air-to-ground ordnance and forced to jettison, DATA is reverted from 25 to 25? other examplas of planes I see in the DB are with the same DATA value issue: DATA (if works so) don't change after you eject the air-to-ground load! Probably something escapes to me in this question ...
  20. Ok, here it's, the first time I convert a Word doc in PDF! Harpoon Mods HCE Observed rate of turn vinculated to ATA in Harpoon Commander.pdf
  21. Impossible to correctly paste the Word table, If someone are interested, requested it to me. Basically, from ATA=30 and up, a plane, indifferent to speed, does a 360º turn in one second ...
  22. Some thinks a months ago about ATA doubioustly vinculated with rate of turn after some experimental testing, reflected in some experimental tables. The conclusions is the planes in the GE are turning too fast, from ATA=30 full turn in 1 second ... Maneoubravitliy: HCE: See table as attached file in post #29 Some thinks a months ago about ATA doubioustly vinculated with rate of turn, in some experimental tables. The conclusions is the planes in the GE are turning too fast ...
