Database Design & Discussion

Sorry folks I sent this question to the wrong forum. I downloaded add-on 080401 and incorperated it into my data base and did not find the new platforms. my path is Matrixgames\HCE\BattlesetBuilder. What is the currect path and proceedure? Thanks -Richard

I need a little help. I have downloaded several different databases from the downloads section. In every case I have attempted to unzip the DB only to get a message that the DB is either corrupted or empty. Downloads from the scenario area are unzipping properly. Does anyone have a suggestion here? DK

If I wanted to have multiple databases, how would I go about doing it. For example; I want a separate database for each of the battlesets, including the new battlesets like the South Atlantic. How would I go about creating said databases and then integrating them into the game without screwing anything up? This would allow me to add installations and additional ship/aircraft/weapon platforms for different time periods. I am concerned that there aren't enough slots left in the current database to do this. Any help would be appreciated. If the topic has already been raised, please send me to the correct posting. Hi wich loadout numbers have dedicated functions? Tony posted that 15,16,27,30,31,32,33 are intercept loadouts regardless how they are named. what about the rest? i´ve added the list taken from the HCDB... I'm having trouble uploading a database to the site, it keeps timing out. I believe the files are within the size limit. Any ideas? I've tried from two different internet connections so I don't think the problem's at my end.

Hi Is the distancte to the Horizon a fixed Value in HCE? Or how is it calculated? I found Values around 10 to 20km depending on the high for the observer and a Ship on the Horizon. How does this affect Weapons like SM-1 or SM-2 in surface mode? When i set the Surface range to 0 they get "horizon" as a range in the Platform display...

Loadout type may influence what altitude the planes fly at by default. It may also dictate whether the AI turns on the active sensors upon launch. I'm hoping user error, but haven't found it yet so I thought I'd ask if anyone else is having PE export problems resulting in bad allocation of countries to platforms and some platforms having no country. Hello, i am really impressed about the recent versions of Harpoon HCE. I am spending long and funny hours playing this game. However, I would like to know if the following could be improved. I have noticed that some platforms have not picture assigned. Is it possible that we, users, could add some of them by ourselves? Could someone explain me how to do it? If so, could it be possible to add pcitures for different national planes? For example, F-16 is operated by different countries. It is much easier for me to track requests and changes if they are in one place. I was experimenting in the Scenario Editor. Trying to set up airbases and assets to resemble the current situation with Libya and the no-fly zone. Could not find any Canadian F-18 to load. Is this missing from the current standard HCDB? And as an alternative, which version of an F-18 would most resemble the CF-18 ?
