Building on Mark Gellis' free idea giveaway thread, how about the following ... A scenario author builds a storyline and Red OOB. Potential players choose the player controlled Blue OOB and its disposition/posture from a list of available options. Scenario author completes the scenario based on their choices. Players play out the scenario, either for pure enjoyment or a friendly competition of sorts. Thoughts?

Finding the enemy is a big part of the game, actually defeating the enemy is also a big part of the game, actually just surviving is perhaps the biggest part of the game. I expect to be able to make a number of upgrades to this as time goes on, and in particular to provide a version for IJ…

File Name: Back Door 2 File Submitter: donaldseadog File Submitted: 30 Jun 2010 File Category: MEDC DB Used: HCDB-100528 Authors: Don Thomas Battleset-MEDC: .sco - EC2003 - EC2003 This was only meant to be a minor revision of my previous "Back Door" to correct a minor 'undesirable', but the scenario has become quite different to play so I thought I'd post it separately. Generally similar to 'Back Door' but this should be (usually) less hectic at the start but with with more action spread through the voyage and a couple of possible possible surprises at what might be the end? The (I think last) third in the saga. Your British carrier group has to cruise to port in Gibraltar and dodge one or two French nasties. Depending on your luck with the groups initial (variable) positions this can end in a naval gunnery battle, or rather nasty sub attack (or both). Hope you enjoy it. "It gets hot" A HCE scenario written by Donald Thomas aka donaldseadog Battleset: EC 2003 GIUK Database: HCDB The scenario is designed to be played from the British = blue side. After Action Report, Part I by Ralf Koelbach Another scenario focusing on a France vs. Britain conflict. The English Channel will be the battlefield and a lot of assets are in the game. 1. First steps Since the Channel is small and easy to cross for fighter bombers, safety first is to choose. I ferry several aircraft from the Northern bases to forward ones in order to build up a fortress close to the Channel. The carrier group leaves RN Devenport and its aircraft a…

"Napoleon's revenge" A HCE scenario written by Donald Thomas aka donaldseadog Battleset: EC 2003, Atlantic Ocean Database: HCDB The scenario is designed to be played from the French = red side. After Action Report, Part I The headline sounded promising: Napoleon's revenge -nice! The opponents are France and the United Kingdom, they have without a doubt a long common history. Ok, let's start with a force composition check: - a powerful carrier group centered around the Charles de Gaulle - three nuclear attack subs and - two airfields, one deploying the fine Rafale fighter bomber This should be enough to sink the Ark Roy…

A small scale scenario pitting a French carrier group against an English with limited shore based air support but with additional surface and subsurface vessels. You can play either Red or Blue though its intended primarily as a blue play so the reds are slightly better equipped. For EC 2003 NACV battleset, HCDB-100308 d…

This scenario is designed for play by the BLUE side. In September 2007, Israel is widely believed to have carried out an air strike that destroyed a partly constructed nuclear reactor in eastern Syria. After Action Report for 'A Nice Little Shootout' A scenario by Pawel Kurek (PAK) 'A Nice Little Shootout' is a new HCE scenario for the EC2003 GIUK Gap battleset. I played the scenario using beta 2010.001 and the HCDB database. Scenario Background Orders As commander of the NATO (Blue) forces, you are directed to move the friendly amphibious group (AFS) southward at best speed toward safer waters along the Polish coast, while a multinational surface action group (AGS) is directed to try and rendezvous with AFS, to provide it with some better degree of protection against Russian attack. Also, you are directed to scramble as many fighter aircraft a…
